Oh hai :3 New costume. This time, America from APH. For those of you who don't know APH is a manga/anime series in which various countries from the interwar period are portrayed by characters. So naturally I chose America, because I can't pull off a British accent, so as long as my American accent holds up by the next time a con rolls around, I can pull it off. Plus, one of the props is a hamburger, and I'm always hungry when I'm at cons, so it'll be my emergency food supply x3 ANYWAY Things I need: Jacket, Tie, Shirt (white), Trousers, Leather Jacket, Wig, glasses, Boots, American flag Stuff I already had: Shirt, Trousers, Boots, flag Stuff I bought: Jacket, Tie, Leather Jacket, Wig, Glasses Things to do: - Add buttons to the jacket- Sew Star patch onto leather jacket- Sew faux fur onto the leather jacket- Acquire and style wig- Add fur to cuffs of boots- Construct the beltWhere I am now: Okay, picture time :3 Jacket just arrived in the mail today, tie arrived yesterday. A bit awkard wearing the jacket as it has no buttons XD I shall get some buttons this weekend and sew them on.

Thanks everyone :3! More stuff arrived, the glasses and the leather jacket. This weekend my girlfriend is bringing over fabric and the wig, and I'll grab myself some buttons at some point. And here's all of it on me. Starting to look really good, but I won't be satisfied 'till I get that wig (and a haircut)

Ack! So apparently I have to get this costume finished for a cosplay meet this Sunday XD So I've got to kick in the Nitrous and finish it off. Luckily I ran into town and picked up some buttons for the jacket, which is now complete as seen here: I also drew and cut out sewing pattern's for America's star patch for the chest, and the airplane patch for the arm. Tomorrow my girlfriend arrives, and we're going to work on...everything else really XD Next pictures will be the finished costume.

Wow, Thundy, that's awesome! =D I'd like to cosplay a Hetalia character, but I just don't know who. Maybe when they release a Philippines, I'll be that.
Looking good so far! ^_^ I can tell this'll be like your Hughes cosplay - a big success!

Whoa, this just got AWESOME! X3
definitely one of the best America cosplays I've seen. Wonderful work with that wig! Sad that I can't see finished boooots... ;A; Oh well, I'm sure they're wonderful. I myself am working on my Lithuania costume and it's coming along... interestingly... Anyways, excellent work!
