"Oh, they wouldn't chuck ye out," Brez starts running in place. "They'd slay ye first chance."
She then dashes off, leaving the other two behind as she calls back, "Foller me goodself!"

"Nah, they'd prob'ly demand, then slay, then chuck ye out," Kernave ran after Brez, carrying her javelin in paw, pack hanging on her shoulder, and the sword strapped across her back. "Oy! Slow down! 'Tis not like we're bein' attacked by vermin!"

"Not really, just a competition of speed, aye?" Kernave grinned, a giant cloud of sand appearing behind her. "I trained with Skip for about 4 seasons, I beat 'im ev'ry time!"

"Oy! Fastest otter in all o'Mossflower, and that forest's pretty big!" Kernave thought for a moment, before shouting, "Wait, no, fastest beast in all o'Mossflower!" A larger cloud of dust sprang from Kernave's feet, as she gained a bit more speed.

"Fastest beast m'self alon' thah coast!"
While they had been arguing, Salamandastron had came up a while ago, but neither had cared to notice. Brez turned her head to look infront of her and skidded to a hault, the mountain just a foot away from her.

Kernave stopped, another cloud of dust under her feet appeared. "Nice mountain ye got 'ere, 'tis mighty big, aye. P'raps we should go in and get a bit to eat, aye? Maybe I could sneak into the kitchens'n'whip up somethin' to eat? Goodbeasts at Redwall taught me ev'rything I know."

"Ha! I'd like teh see ye get past ol' Cooky, wot! Very protective o' his kitchens, bet a score of fryin' ferrets, stuffed stoats 'n rattled rats culdn't get past 'im!"
Brez runs over to a inward curve of the mountain, and looks around cautiously, and opens up a hdiden door.

"Well ye 'aven't met Kernave the Otter, nope," Kernave grinned. "I can outwit any wise owl, any mouse, n'any mole, too!" she blushed, looking at the hidden door. "Where does this door lead to, 'are? Isn't there a main entrance or somethin'?"

"You could always make a tunnel that lead into the sea to get out o' Salamandastron ye know," Kernave blinked, going through the entrance. "But this may be a better way o' gettin' into the mountain, aye," Kernave looked around, seeing that the passage was lit with torches. "D'you think they still 'ave vittles on the table?"
