Ok, this might be a bit of a daft question but what's ROle Play?? Sorry for being daft.

Role playing is basically when you play the role of a person you made up. You can have powers, be some kind of made-up creature that doesn't exist in real life(ex. an elf, a troll, etc.), but it has to follow the RP(role play) you're in. For example, if someone starts an RP about LOTR, don't go posting a character that's an animagus or a Zora!
There are many different ways to RP. You have to decide if you are RPing in the past or present(if there are more, then please tell me). You also have to decide if you are roleplaying in 1st person(I, me, myself), 2nd person(you) or 3rd person(she, he, etc.). You also have to decide if you're using stars(*) or not.
Example for a RP in 1st person, using past and with no stars:
I got back up, and looked around. The place where I was wasn't familiar at all. I had only one thing to do: panick.
3rd person, using present and stars:
*looks around*
"What is this place?" she asks in puzzlement.
I'm not the best person to explain you everything in detail, though. If you really want to know how to RP, try reading some of the RPs here.
