Chris continues to walk down the tunnel. The air got cooler as he walked. Eventually(sp?) he reaches an underground lake. Thirsty from a couple of hour without water he falles to his knees at the edge of the water and starts drinking in loud gulps.

((Suddenly two pairs of eyes stare at you. Than a strange looking man walks up to you. He is long and skinny. Pale, as if without seeing light for years. He looks up at you. "My Pressssioussss."  Couldn't help it... Long tunnels that lead to all sorts of places, and than you find a lake... I just had to do that ^_^ After all, I am reading The Hobbit for the 7th time now......)) Dragus looks both ways, and the footsteps seem to fade away, as if they went down a differn't passage. "Hmm, I guess I'm going straight..." Dragus places one hand on his swords handle, and another on his sheath. He walks down the tunnel, half wanting to see whats down it, and half not... |

"Too many to count!" Maea shouted back while straining to pull out the dagger. "Never mind that..." she turned around, giving up on the dagger. There was a swarm of about 20 ninjas surrounding her. Here's time to prove my pike-theory...

Marcus tried to continue fighting, but he kept getting tired.

((Hmm, Shadow Ninja's, and fighting in Shadows )) Dragus continues down the tunnel, the fighting seems to be getting louder. Just than Dragus is knocked to the ground. "What the?" He looks around, but doesn't see anything. "Why couldn't I go down the other way?" He looks around, straining to see what knocked him down, but all he can see are shadows. |

Dange gets up after quenching his thirst. Figuring that this was a dead end he heads back the way he came.

(( )) Dragus keeps trying to find what hit him. "I guess its gone..." Dragus gets up, but gets knocked down again. This is repeated a number of times. "I guess its not." Dragus gets up one last time, and starts to run down the hall. Now seeing something moving along side him. His hands still holding onto his sword, like always when he runs, he quickly puts his sword to the side, tripping the thing following him. The ninja falls to the ground, and skids across the ground. "Just a ninja?" Dragus leans down, and looks at the ninja. "One of those shadow ones I saw with the rest, if they are here... What about the others." He hears the fighting down the tunnel again, and gets back up. He starts to run down the hall once again. "I need to get down there." |

Chris manages to get back to where the two tunnels intersect he hears a barly audible thump (the ninja falling) he heads down towards the sound.

Dragus still running,
"How long is this tunnel?"
he starts to hear something following him.
"Its still far away, but who is it? What is it? Better keep going."
Dragus picks up the pace down the tunnel, when he starts to see shadows moving around.
"Almost there."

((Dragus than starts throwing rocks behind him, because he thinks the ninja's are after him )) Dragus continues down the hall, the footsteps behind him picked up their pace, and the sounds ahead are getting louder. He keeps running, just than he see's a ninja on the ground next to him. He stops running and starts walking. He can see two groups fighting, but he can't make anyone out... They are still down the hall somewhat. |

"There's something about this cave..."
Maea decided it was time to test her theory. With a wide, sweeping arm movement, Maea brought her pike in the air. Again it began to glow a white-green. The ninjas whom had been attacking her mutilated hand (it being mutilated and all...) were shocked as, with a flash, it became normal once more. She shifted her weight and brought the pike around her several times, knocking many of the ninjas now entirely surrounding her to the ground. Only after about a minute when she took a slight breather did she notice the cave was glowing.
"Definitely odd..."

Dragus eyes burn as the light blinds him for a second, his eyes not used to the light. When his eyes focus he can see Maea, and the others. He see's several ninja's trying to escape the light, and quickly disposes them. He then walks down the rest of the way to the others, even though there were some ninja's still there. "So, how have you guys been? Me, I've been stuck in a dungeon for a few days." ((At least I think its a few days, or he just thinks that )) |

Dragus looks around at all the ninjas advancing on them.

Couldn't help it... Long tunnels that lead to all sorts of places, and than you find a lake... I just had to do that ^_^ After all, I am reading The Hobbit for the 7th time now......))
