What about a summer olympics competition-esque thing? Where guild members can compete in a variety of activities - like a giant art thing where guild members contribute a square of a picture and then the completed pictures for each of the guilds are judged as well as an individual art competition under various themes, poems about your guild members/guild feats/guild pwnsomeness for no specific reason, videos for those who are inclined to make them, comics that could run the length of the competition with commentary on things going on, roleplays for those who like them and it could be roleplays between guilds as well as a story telling-esque competition where each guild comes up with a story, and it'd be a totally cool time to do the "make your profile into an impersonation of this theme" thing again. 
And people can win arbitrary trophies, and there can be a scoreboard where you can see which guild is in the lead, and a board for taunting the competitors (like the Make Some Noise game for YYB) and it can be obnoxious in a fun way. And no one can complain because we combine all the cool things together, and guild members can opt to support the guild through the activities that they like the best.
If you like this idea, then a couple of things I can tell you up front:
1. To compete, you'd have to be a member of at least one guild, since it is supposed to be a guild thingy.
2. You'd have to pick one guild to support throughout the competition. Sorry, but I can't see how it'd be fair to let one person get points for all of the guilds.
And something I'd need:
ONE representative to help with ideas/planning for the various areas. This means one person each to help with:
art/video,
poetry,
commentaries,
mass roleplaying and the story telling competition-esque roleplaying,
profile themes - working with Dan!,
and rules/extra board ideas.
You'd basically represent your fellow forumers (that includes all guilds!) to me in that category. (I don't RP, so you don't want me making all the decisions on how the RP should function.)
And if you're willing to help with either, you should probably send a PM, with a subject like, "GUILDS: Larissa, don't ignore this!!!" xDD
