Ah, okay.
I haven't played that case in a long time. XD

Finished playing Investigations! Which also means that I'm done with all the games in the series. Take that, spoiler avoidance! Is it just me, or were all of the characters flanderized to a great extent? >.> Well, maybe except for Franzy (though part of that may because she's always overused the word "fool" anyway XD ), but... I don't think Edgey went on about truthiness THAT much in the previous games. He also seems a bit too much nicer compared to the previous games; even after becoming more of a good guy, he was still a bit of a jerk. XD Although it did make me appreciate the 4th case all the more, but... still, I think they just replaced "truth" with "perfect" and called it a day. But Edgey aside, I think Gumshoe's incompetence was also overly-flanderized; I love paycut gags, but there were so many that he'd have to pay to work way before the end of it.
One complaint about the 4th case... "How do you suppose the murderer did that?" "Well, I'll tell you!" Me: *Thinks it through. Meanwhile, takes stylus out and readies it.* (I use the buttons for most of the game.) "It was through this method!" Me: ... <.< *Puts stylus back.*
That was mostly in the 4th case, though. Just a few lost opportunities in letting the player figure it out.
And in the 5th case... EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEENNNNNNNNNNDDDDDD!!! Seriously, the last part was just a continuous loop-de-loop of the same story elements. Namely: "Testimony here!" "Contradiction!" "Gargh! Wait, stop the music! YOU'RE WRONG!" "Darnit! All hope is lost!" "LAST MINUTE SAVIOR PERSON ACTION!" "I'm saved! Testify again!" Repeat. I see that a lot in all the games, though I don't put too much scrutiny in it because in the previous games, there were times where there was enough tension to overlook that. (2-4 is a notable example.) But... It was sooo overused here. >.>
Also, I didn't really like Kay as a character... She seemed rather Sue-ish to me. >.> Enough said.
As for Lang... I don't mind the character himself, really. But the way others interacted with him... It seems the aura of the writers trying to make him look like the bad guy was really forced. >.>
Actually, the whole game itself was really easy. There were very few times in which I had trouble figuring stuff out. In fact, it seemed very predictable. But I don't know how much my genre-savvyness and familiarity with the AA series fits in which that. XD;
All of that said... Don't get me wrong by my long post; it was fun to play. I didn't really take a large exception to anything until the 3rd case; case 2 was really fun for me, even if I could tell right away who was the killer. And there were some fun moments in all of the cases.
It just seems that this game wasn't as well written as the others. I think there was potential in the plot, don't get me wrong. (And I liked how this game managed to follow one arc all the way through, unlike the other games where there was that one partially-maybe related case. So that was fun. ^^ ) Though there were some fridge-logic part of the plot... (Since when did you have to press until the killer confessed to need to arrest someone, even if you have plenty pointing to them? Sounds like something more like I'd see in the AA courts.) I just think it could've been better written.
As for the music, there were soooo many reprisals of the "Great Revival". >.> But I did like most of the music. (Particularly Kay's and Alba's. ^^ If I had an iPod, I'd add them to my playlist.)
As for plot twists... Shih-naaaaaa! *Did not see that coming.* As for Apollo Justice, there's just one question that I've been wanting to ask for some time... Am I the only one who wanted to punch him in the face whenever he said "Chords of Steel!" or "Here comes Justice!"? Moreso when used in conjunction. XD But seriously.

Yay GLQ! Yeah, I loved AAI and all, but a lot of it seemed a bit exaggerated. XD; Like I feel like they crammed in references left and right just for the sake of cramming in references, and that homestretch for AAI-5 was just torture.
Kay was a bit Mary Sue, yeah, but she kinda grew on me. >_> <_< Maybe it's just because I was anticipating her being a lot worse than she was, I don't know.
But yeah, I heard the vague rumor that there will be an AJ sequel and then that's the last we'll hear of the series. I frankly kind of hope it's true, because I'm not sure Capcom's writers can keep producing anything for it that won't come out horribly forced.

Looks like they're gonna make a sequel to AAI.Also, the official (Japanese) site for AAI2 has gone up, so it looks like the rumor is true. ------ My first thought on this was: "What? Already?! But the game came out just last year in Japan and this year in America!" ...And I still think that; it's a bit concerning. I wonder what'll be in it, and what this'll be about... We'll just have to wait and see on that, I guess. In any case, if they end up having Kay in it again, then I really hope they develop her more. ...Then again, it wasn't so much of her character I didn't like, more like the characters' reactions to her I didn't like. >.> -------- ...While I'm posting here, there's been something in AAI that I've been wondering about... At the "moral dilemma" part of the game, where you have to choose whether or not to play the trump card, what happens if you don't? Even better would be if there were any script/video that shows what happens if you decide not to.
I'd check myself, but the last big save is after that point, and AAI-5 is too long to go through again so soon. But if there's a bad ending, I wanna see it.

Mm, they are? :/ I'd be excited, but like I've said before, I'm not sure how much farther they can drag it on. I hope it's good, whatever they do. I ended up picking no, myself, and well... basically everyone yells at you and tells you you need to do it or else he'll get away. XD And then Edgey caves in and does it. No bad ending, sorry.

Yeah, it kinda took me by surprise too... Of course, they do say "in development", so I don't know how far along they are. Though if the company in Japan is starting their promotions this early... But yeah, I agree; I thought the game was already stretching the characters too much. >.> ...I guess we'll see? If they must make sequels, then I wouldn't mind an AJ sequel... But no idea when or if that's coming. Whaaat? Really? D: I expected something better than that, even if they must go with no bad ending. ...How did they even know he had the card? I thought Tyrell took Edgeworth aside away from the others to give it to him.
I'm curious as to exactly what they say... I wish a script would come out.

I personally wonder where AAI2 is gonna be, timeline-wise. They crammed AAI into the gap in-between PW3 and the flashback case in AJ, I know that much. But if they keep the sequel in this same gap, that's... cramming a lot into a short period of time. It's really not a very big gap.
Of course, I just like to have wiggle room for fanfics, so. >_> <_< [/selfish]
Alternatively, if it's after the flashback case, then I'd feel a lot more confident in where Edgeworth ends up by the time we get to AJ. (Because, y'know, I'm such a fangirl I care about these things.) It would also be kinda interesting to see Nick in the period in-between the flashback and AJ itself, but I kinda doubt they'll do that. Who knows, though. Hm... *ponders over potential plot points that she wonders whether Capcom would even dare do*

Yeah, they only have a month of wiggle-room to fit in there... Though then again, they did kinda cram the entire game into a short period of days. So it could be entirely possible that it's between AAI and the AJ flashback.
I have a thought though... What if it's during or just after the AJ flashback case? Because I've been curious to see Edgeworth's thoughts on that, even if we know that there was nothing he could really do (if he didn't get mad at Phoenix, that is; his influence on Phoenix is conspicuously silent...)... Though maybe they're saving that for AJ2. I found more info here. Details more stuff on the game.

And yeah, that was another possibility that crossed my mind. It would be interesting to see, if they do anything about it at all. *casually clicks the link* *does a double-take at the part she reads* O_______O!!! ghfdjkghkdfjsghjkdfhjkgdfgjkhdfjk

DOES THIS MEAN THEY'RE GOING TO DO MORE DL-6 STUFF

I thought about that, but what more can they do with DL-6? Even if that case does pretty much define his life, I thought they covered it in the first game pretty well. (And his development concerning it throughout the PW arc.) Also, the thought of Edgeworth returning to Gourd Lake... oh mai. Kay: Oh, boats! I've always wanted to go on a boat ride. ...Hey, Edgey--! Edgeworth: Absolutely not.XD; Anyway, back to the article... What more "human side" could we see to Edgeworth that we haven't already seen? o_0 We already know he's a jerk and why he's a jerk. But yeah... But I am intrigued as to what this present-day conflict is... Hmm...

Well yeah, they don't have to expound on DL-6 itself, but if they're going to Gourd Lake, chances are it's going to be brought up in some way. o: okay so maybe i just want to see edgey flashbacks preferably with certain characters in it is there anything wrong with that
XD; Y'know, I can actually see that happening, too. Heck, I'd be surprised if Capcom didn't include something like that when you examine the boats. (Assuming the boats are still there, of course, and they haven't done some major revamp to the lake.)
I was wondering about that, too. We saw a pretty well human side to Edgey back in 1-4, didn't we? Was it just a mistranslation when they said "never-before seen," or is there something I'm overlooking?
...stop thinking "Edgey gets a crush" brain or I swear I will stab you
