As the youngest Starfleet officer in years, Lt. Cmdr. Wirey was finding life hard aboard the Starship Pi'Kachu. One problem was that the scriptwriters were running out of things for her to do.
But the biggest problem by far was that her home planet, Kling, was in turmoil. Human... beasts had tried to bring some of their stupid ideas to Kling, including a television programme called Popstars.
It really came to something when half of the population were watching a band of Klingons that, in normal society, would have been dishonoured years ago. These people did not compete with each other in battle, as Klingons should, but tried to make themselves look like humans, and sing songs. Not even opera, or war cries- but songs about love, of all things!
Well, she was going to do something about it. Even if it killed her.
