Snape turned around, looking in the direction of Calvin and Li.

Calvin looked rather freaked out but tried not to show it. Hobbes just dashed to the Ravenclaw common room within 12 feet of snape.

Snape walked away. "That was close..." Li whispered. "Foritus Reapperi!" she hissed, the three looking normal again as they followed Hobbes.

Li looked around, waving good bye to Calvin to run up the stairs to the girl's dorms. She put the gryphon onto her bed, whispering, "Quietis Lowles," so the Gryphon couldn't make any noise. "Please just stay here."
The gryphon nodded, looking a bit sad. "I'll get you some food... Erm, how about some fruit?"
The gryphon nodded, pointing to the cherry shape on Li's trunk. "Cherries? Okay then..."

Palira shoved her hands into the pockets of her black robe as she stepped out of the Hufflepuff common room. The girl was renowned for having a terrible sense and direction and a not much better memory. It seemed as if all that she had learned of the passageways in Hogwarts throughout her first year had seeped out of her mind at summertime. Now she had to figure out where the library was if she wanted to finish Snape's assignment...
Palira sighed. This would probably take a while.

Jordan stood trembling outside the heads office. He spoke the password.
"Licorice all sort." He said almost not beleving something so silly could work. But he was proven wrong as the ground began to rumble and a stair well appeared where a gargoyle had been previously.
He started climbing the spiral stairs. At the top, he pushed open a stoned door, and entered an office. An old man looked up from a pile of papers.
" Ah, Jordan Jordan. I am Dumbledor. You are possibly the latest first year student yet." He chuckled at his own joke, JOrdan managed a weak smile. " At Hogwarts, we have a sorting system unique to all other schools. You will be put into a house; Grifinndor, Hufflepuff, Slytherin or Ravenclaw. Each one reflects an aspect of someones personality, and you are put in the one most fitting to you."
"Ummm, how do I get sorted?" Jordan asked.
Dumbledor produced a patched up old wizards hat. " Try this on, go on, it wont hurt." He gestured towards a stool.
Jordan pun on the manky hat. Suddenly he heard a voice in his ear. " Wha...? Bit early for the first years dont you think? Ahhh, its you. Well, lets get right to it! Ahhh, ummm lots of bravery, loyal, vrey loyal. Small lust for power, but human nature is strong in the best of us. Simplicity, but willing to go that extra length. Helpful. Quite clever but not the smartest. Not as willing to learn as some. It'll have to be.... HUFFLEPUFF!" Jordan could tell the last word was said out loud. Dumbledor began to clap.
"Well done Joradan! Well, lets hurry to the feast before the sorting, what a futile ceremony it would be without this hat!"

Calvin sighed and walked into the Ravenclaw common room, Hobbes just snoozing by the fire.
"I hope Li's gryphon is OK. Probably should Have told her not to transfigure it before class. McG told OUR class that anyway."
"Come off it Calvin. You just need your robe back," Hobbes replied.

**Jessie quietly got out of her bed. She had to be careful not to wake Hermione up. When she finally got on the floor, she turns into a red griffin. Just Neko gives a shrill cry and everyone wakes up as Professor McGonnale ((I'll just call her McG... -_-;;  ) walks in spotting Jessie...** |
