"I dunno. Just anything, I guess. We're supposed to transfigure AND make a statue come to life. We got to choose the statues too. I've already transfigured it into a gryphon (it was a duck before oO;) and I have to make it come to life..."

"Here you go," Li handed the thick, dark red book over to Calvin.
The words, "How to Transform Inanimate Objects to Living, Breathing Creatures" in large white letters seemed to be peeling off the book. The cover was made out of leather, which was dyed a dark red.

"Hmm..." Calvin muttered flipping through the book landing on the 300th page. "Here's the spell I used on Hobbes. It should be around that area." He flipped the page foward one. "Here you go. Changing statues into animate objects."

Li got her statue of a gryphon (used to be a duck) out, looking at the page before pulling out her wand. "Err... say, 'Losterius ______". The blank's supposed to be filled in with what kind of animal or thing you want it to become..."
"Losterius Gryphones!" Li whispered, prodding the statue with her wand.
A white light appeared, transforming the statue into a small gryphon, the same size as the statue. "Cool..." Li announced, scooping the gryphon into her arms. "Now if I can keep it quiet till tomorrow when classes resume..."

"Be quiet!" she hissed, prodding it again before putting her book and wand back into her bag. |
