XD; On a side note, the free sound effect world is depressingly lacking in decent sound effects. >( Why must it be so hard to find a good splurch? Sounds like a good thing to be doing. XD Ooh, something special going on this May? :3 Reminds me, I should probably start drawing up that comic sometime soonish. I'm planning on moving May 1st or a couple days after. Plans are shakey. Cheapest deal I ever struck x33 There's a suspected case of swine flu in Finland. Lovely. Although we were probably lucky that it happened in late spring. Had it been in winter, there'd be ten times as many people down with regular flu and consequently, ten times as much panic. Its odd how we go through this panic phase and then it becomes normal. It happened with Sars, Foot and Mouth, Mad Cow, Avian Flu and now this and anything that looks like the panic disease at the time is automatically treated like it is. I hardly noticed the Sars issue. Probably because I didn't read the news much at the time. Bird flu sorta brushed through the headlines, but that was no big deal in the end either. Moral: don't trust the media >> Heck, had I not been reading the news on a regular basis, I wouldn't even know that there's an economic recession... although that's likely to strike like a ninja after I graduate >.> |

D: Really? *feels stupid* I'm sorry. All I've heard so far here is the John Stewart version of the swine flu news. *shrug* Don't feel bad, those affected have been taken to hospital but we had a Hall meeting about it this morning, it was kind of ironic, really, because there are 557 people living here and we all get called in this morning to listen to the Master of the Halls and he gave us advice on how to be safe with Swine Flu going around. One of those safety measures was not meeting in a big group. Go figure. .... Ohhh the irony.  |
