((I ran away......))
"I have a way,"Candy said, and whistled shrilly. More unicorns came, their manes flying out behind them.
"Jeez, Candy, how many unicorns do you have?"Becca asked.
"I used to have 2000, but Mellow killed some, so only about 1,500,"Candy replied, and motioned for everyone to climb on a unicorn while she looked around for anything she might need.

(( Not to be mean, but Candy, I think 1,500 unicorns is a little much. Firstly being such rare creatures, second being so dangerous, with their horn. I think you should reconsider the number. That's just my opinion though.))
" I mean, after we rescue the bloiders, we need to focus on stopping this chaos. Chaos is my job. I won't have someone trying to steal my spotlight. I know there are a lot of Spikelings, but do we have like a heat sensor thing? I have a feeling the Spikelings don't have much body heat." Chaos replied.

Candy had gone without Lysa noticing. Reith and Lysa had searched a little way into the surrounding forest without luck. They started deciding whether they should go searching for her further into the forest or wait. On one hand the Spikelings could be out there, but they weren't sure how long to wait, or what exactly they were waiting for, would she return? Would she be able to find her way back or did she find somewhere safe to stay without them?
Teigra had sat up, raising her nose to the air, her large ears swiveling and focusing on a sound that Lysa couldn't hear. "Is it Candy?" Lysa asked. Teigra shook her head and padded towards the sound, she calmly stood in a bright section of the clearing. Azzie landed and Teigra returned to Lysa.
About ten feet away, a very nervous-looking Lysa sat huddled by a fire. "Oh my goodness!" Azzie cried. "Are you okay?"
"Azzie?! You found us, where have you been is everyone okay?!" Lysa exclaimed, quickly standing up. Many unanswered questions and worries had been circling Lysa's head and she was glad someone had found them.
Candys return interrupted them, everyone looked up at the shout from Candy. Lysa was amazed and almost angry to see Candy happy with friends and so many unicorns. Lysa longed to talk to Candy about her secret and mystery disappearance but then Sarn arrived.
He wrapped his arms and wings around her and smothered her with kisses, finding enough joy in himself to smile for her.
Everything was moving so fast. Lysa shrunk in Sarns arms. She felt so happy to see him... but she felt so useless to everyone and exhausted from worry and confusion. She smiled at Sarn, recognizing his love for her and felt much better, but when Sarn let go Lysa stood still, feeling alone.
"How are we going to get you all to safety?" "I have a way,"Candy said.
Teigra refused to get on a unicorn and Lysa hadn't liked the sensation of flying... and falling either. "How far away is 'safety'? And is the way free of Spikelings? Teigra and I can follow through the forest, she'll keep up, we'll be right underneath you." Lysa said. They also wanted to get away from everyone, to be together alone, something they were used to and when each felt most secure.
"We need to find Talai!" Reith yelled over the noise of everyone talking and the unicorns wings beating and rustling. She had watched Sarn and Lysa's embrace with envy, wishing only to have Talai with her. He had been on Reiths mind since he had left her side, and the worry was driving her mad. She would happily ride a unicorn to safety but hoped there was promise of finding him, finding Talai, safe and well, there or on the way.

Azzie hugged Lysa, glad to see that her nerves were not so bad that she was incoherent. She quickly glomped all of her comrades before fluttering over to Reith. The poor girl looked terrified, and Azzie understood. She mentally told Adrianna where the group was, quickly paling a nearby tree to help her friend find the spot.
"Don't worry," Azzie whispered to Reith. "We'll find him."

Bundling the flightless forumers onto Candy's unicorns, the group sent the flying back to Mage Manor where Nevar would be waiting to greet them. Azzie had managed to calm Reith who now sat on a unicorn, holding back her tears and hoping that the winged group would find Talai.
Sarn had wanted to escort Lysa back to the manor personally but Lysa had said she wanted to go alone, they had seen no Spikelings in the forest as they had approached and Sarn was needed. Besides, Tiegra was more than apt at defending her friend and despite trusing the two of them to get there safely, quietly, internally, he prayed.
They spent the rest of the day scouring the forest, picking up everyone they found and using Candy's unicorns as a way of getting them to safety. All arrived safely at Mage Manor where a note left by Nevar directed them to the library where he sat, hunched over the latest in a huge pile of books, pouring over the dusty volumes for any clue.
His eyes were aching by the time he spotted something of use and he couldn't help but make a noise, crying out to the library at large but not quite sure which of his raging emotions pertained to this.
In the personal notes of an obscure old mage, at last, was found a hint.

Vapor spotted a cluster of scattered buildings announcing the border of the more populated areas of Tabloid Town. Diving lower, she couldn't spot a single unearthly white spot among the various darker blots beginning their day down below. She blinked in surprise. No Spikelings? She frowned to herself. Unusual. They were swarming everywhere last night... Then again, we were in the forest; we never saw them head to town... We didn't even know if they would be heading to town- maybe they weren't trying to terrorize us at all? If they had, wouldn't they be heading to a more populated area? Shaking her head, she muttered to herself, Or maybe it's just because it's day... Dark magic prefers the night, after all. They might be nocturnal. It'd help us if we actually knew what they were after. They might be heading somewhere else, or regrouping- She winced. Like I should be doing now, instead of babbling to myself!
Scanning the ground, Vapor landed lightly a few feet away from a sparse tuft of grass sticking up slightly from the ground. Smiling to herself, Vapor stepped over to it and pulled it up, widening the open hatch into the ground. Even when its open, you can hardly notice it... She said to herself, smiling with relief. She'd feel a lot better when she had a wok in her hands again.
Vapor walked down into her lair cautiously. Glancing around, she noted that nothing was out of place and visibly relaxed, mentally scolding herself for not properly shutting her door. She wiggled a loose stone out of the wall, revealing an empty hollow. Reaching in, she retrieved a dusty wok, the bowl slightly tarnished and the wooden handle lacking the luster of the prized weapon she had lost to the Spikelings. Still, its better than nothing.
Suddenly, Vapor froze, her hand rigid on the wood on of the wok's handle. Did I just hear something? She turned, slowly. Was that sock pile always spilling out into the coridoor? Or had something disturbed it?
Vapor shook her head, mentally slapping herself. I was in a hurry when I left here. I knocked a lot of things over. It's nothing. Still shaking her head, Vapor replaced the loose stone and climbed back to the surface, taking care to shut her hatch securely.
Vapor smiled at the sunshine. Now that I'm armed... She glanced around and spotted a forumer, walking sluggishly in the direction of the Brain Bleach bar to start their day. Ah! She exclaimed, jogging after them.

Chaos flew around, looking for any missing persons. " Hello, anyone in need of rescuing? No I'm not Prince Charming, so I don't want any kisses." he giggled.

((Cyb, the Spikelings aren't active during the day. Chaos can hunt for EM if he wants but he'll not likely find her until MUCH later in the plotline and the Spikelings are hidden.
EDIT: xD, prince charming))

And so, Lysa and Teigra followed the group with the unicorns. Teigra was fast, and sprinted through the forest to keep up with the flying group with no trouble. A few times Teigra slowed down and cautiously weaved around the trees in front of them. She had picked up the distinct scent of Spikeling and was making sure it was only lingering from the night before. Sure enough, they only came across the deep foot-prints, and the tracks of broken twigs and disrupted scrub left behind from the army. They talked and laughed together along the way, relieving stress and fear from the last couple of days. When they arrived at Mage Manor they were in good spirits and Lysa especially felt like she had more energy, in mind as well as body. They felt the energy of the magic as they stepped across the border of Mage Manor and Teigra padded over to the landing group, and then up to the Library with Nevar.

"What do we do now?"Lizzie asked, frightened. She grabbed the unicorn's mane and it let out a sharp noise that made Lizzie grab on tighter.
"Just hold on, but try not to hurt her," Candy said calmly. She slowly turned around. Candy laughed. Many of the riders had crazy expressions on their faces.
She looked down at Teigra and Lysa.
"Hi!"Candy cried to them, waving, as they saw Mage Mannor in the distance, not very far away.

Adrianna saw a very pale tree and a group of unicorns directly behind it. She often wondered at the creatures; so thin and pink. The pink colour reminded her of when Azzie had accidentally turned their entire Neohome a light candy-floss pink. She laughed at the memory, recalling how long it had taken to clean up the mess. Luckily, landing beside Azzie, there was no such mess. It was simply her standing, resting on the tree, looking worried. When she saw Adrianna, she looked up and smiled, flying up to join her. You ready to go? Adrianna asked. Azzie nodded, heading toward Mage Manor. Sighing, Adrianna followed. She hoped that this turmoil would not last long. She had never seen the Bloiders so nervous, and it worried her.

((TIMESKIP to the evening))
Sarn was the last one to enter the library, having stayed back for a moment to watch the dying of the sun over the forest. Everyone they found during the day had arrived safely at Mage Manor with the help of Candy's unicorns and now they all congregated in the small library with Nevar.
Folding his wings tightly against his back, Sarn stepped carefully through the mass of forumers and came to stand next to Lysa and Vapor who was easily the biggest of the crowd.
A hush fell over the group as Nevar stepped out from behind a huge ook shelf, two volumes clutched to his chest. He cleared his throat, rubbed a had over his eyes and set the books on a nearby table.
"I've been looking all day," he began, "and I've found only two books that make a mention of anything remotely like the Spikelings."
"The first is the diary of Archmage Cadmus, who dominated Mage Manor long before Ikkin. In one of the entries is hidden a clue."
Here, he began to read aloud.
"28th August, This, the volume of the moste horrid potentiale, belong solely in the hand of the darkest powers pervading this world, for therein lies all that is evil, nothing that is well formed, no substance, and no purity. Dump it, we have, locking the vile thing far below the city, where none ought to go. The wards of magic burn strong around this wretched thing which gloweth wtih an evil light, pale and sickly green."
Here, Nevar paused in his reading, closed the diary and looked over at Candy.
"You said you had seen Evil Melody clutching something glowing green. I believe it to be this very same book spoken about in Cadums' diary. I would ask for only a few more moments of our attention while I read to you the only other account. It comes from a record of Tabloid Town building projects, an unlikely place, but still, I checked and it has turned out to be oddly helpful."
"Project Code: #1.4.68.1 Construction notes: Archmage Cadmus has paid extra money in order that a sealed room under the basement might be made. Something was sealed in there yesterday. The project next to it, #4.88.6.34, also had a minor disruption when the sealed room extended beyond the ground floor of #1.4.68.1 and made the cobbles of #4.88.6.34 collapse. Another note has been added to that project."
"Now if we skip back a few pages, we find this #4.88.6.34 to have this note attatched to it."
"Project Code: #4.88.6.34 Construction notes: Delayed delivery of cobbles for #4.88.6.34, dubbed Tabloid Town Square."
Nevar looked up, waiting to see how many forumers could put two and two together and add in three and four.

"Wow,"Candy said, and she realized she had said something important.
Candy and her group tried to figure everything out.
"What happened next?"Lizzie asked carefully.

((Since I just REFUSE to let roleplays die)) Azzie sat, thinking intently about what Nevar had said. She tried to comprehend it, but the words flew right past her. "Does- does that mean that the answer lies beneath Tabloid Town Square?" she asked, shaking her head in bewilderment. "The second book!" urged Adrianna. "What's in the second book?"
