*headdesks* I'm arguing with someone about special issues. She's going around telling people to expect a Plushie PB from the Illusen Day issue because that's what was given out last year. (I didn't enter that issue last year, so I don't know if that's accurate or not.) It'd be nice if I could direct people here, since they don't seem to believe that it's merely a courtesy of Droplet and they shouldn't expect multi-million NP items every time. /rant. Oy, that's a complete lie from that person. My series ended up running through that issue and the prize was a book called 'Finding Illusen', not a paintbrush. Besides, what is the point for writing for the NT if you're just going to go for the avatars/prizes?

Plushie PB was for the Christmas issue, if I remember correctly. (Or was it the Pirate PB?) Either way, it was Plushie and Pirate for Halloween and Christmas, though I don't remember which for which. And yeah, they shouldn't be going around and advertising that. If people come to expect items from the issues, that'd be a good reason to stop giving them out, because it's supposed to be a nice surprise, not something that is the only reason you're submitting.

Plushie PB's were from the past two Christmas Issues, Pirate Paint Brush was given out for the Halloween Issue. :/ And even then, no one should be advertising that we always get certain prizes for issues. I mean, who knows, Droplet could stop giving them out someday.

So, I'm not sure what to do for the grey issue. I'm thinking of just doing a comic, because I'm not feeling up to writing a story again so quickly. Here's my idea: Panel 1: My 3 pets (MSP Poogle, RG Kyrii and Cloud Gnorbu) with party hats and party blowers and big, cheery grins have a really colourful banner that reads "Happy Grey Day!" Panel 2: The panel zooms out, to show the room full of depressed grey pets, not in the slightest interested in a party or celebrating. The 3 pets look neutral, confused, or let down.
Would this work? Or should I add another panel with the 3 pets saying something witty? I'm not so good at this, so some feedback would be nice. x3 Thanks!

Tanya, I really like that idea how it is! I think adding something else (unless it was REALLY good) would ruin the simplicity of it, which is the funny part.

Well, it's occurred to me that I'm not going to have much free time over the next 2 months, so I won't be able to draw my Grey Day comic after all.
I have a comic collab request in the collabs forum, if anyone is interested.

Thanks for this. ^.^ I just found out that my new series (part one is in Friday's issue) will be running through Illusen Day. Hope there's enough entries for Droplet to put up that spiffehlicious layout

You kinda' see that concept every grey day art gallery, the happy pet being happy for grey day, while grey pets mope about the party. It's kinda' the first thing that'd come to anyone's mind if they were thinking of a Grey Day comic. Surely there are other punchlines that can go with what are essentially emo pets?

Finished my Grey day comic, it just needs some spelling and grammar corrections *pokes thread on Writer's workshop forum* *headdesks* I'm arguing with someone about special issues. I know how do you feel. A lot of people ask me about my avatar and, if I recieve a prize on every issue. I have told them that only on special issues, but frequently I'm asked this: "So, why do you publish if you're not receiving anything? You already have the avatar, it's just pointless!" or a girl one NM me asking me advice for a 10 issues series!! So she could have the avy, since she's an avy collector (and also asked me which items could she won). I'm not sure if that series would be accepted, but I think she could have a chance, since Spanish NT accepts grammar and spelling mistakes and some stories end very... err.. weird.. with a "And that's all. This was my story, I hope you liked it and I'll have my avatar!! Yay!!!" (similar to comics' footnotes, but on a story). Meh.. People are becoming more materalist this time, and not doing great art or stuff just because.

I see why people would want to do series instead of 10 different submissions. That would take almost a year. XD; But it's a bit sad that the only reason people write is for the avatar. D=

I know I'm thinking way ahead XD but I think this might me an alright entry for Halloween this year... But it wasn't really intended to be. So my question is this: would you guys rather read a Halloween series or another Pint-Sized comic for this year's Halloween issue? n3n
