Congrats on the win, Nimras! But I'm afraid I don't understand what you are alluding to with the scribbled symbol or the missing puzzle piece. I can't think of a symbol that would suddenly bring Kiyer to mind, like the emporer said... Am I just missing something really obvious here? Not really -- I just wanted to throw out something that someone could use later, either to explain why Vale had poisoned the Emperor, or why this mysterious person was out to start a war in the first place.

Oh, okay. So it was meant to be more open-ended. It just sounded really specific when you wrote it, like symbol -- oh, puzzle piece! And somehow it is all connected to Kiyer. Maybe I am just reading too much into it. I think that all of this physics is scrambling my brain.

Although I could never write anything to match the quality of the story, I absolutely <3 this story. It's amazing what an extra few days can do to a story. It's amazingly intricate and that makes it compelling. ^^ Too bad I can't contribute.

I just couldn't come up with situations like the ones you've managed to.

That's the nice thing about storytelling. I don't have to worry about coming up with a situation, my mind will think of something... and I DON'T have to get them out of it!

Well, I wrote an entry that incorporates a lot of the missing ends. However, the method through which I achieved this might be too off-the-wall...
I think the editor has thought most of my entries this week were far too random. We'll she if she embraces the strangeness!

Ahh... this is an awesome story. @_@ A bit confusing (less so after I reread the whole thing), but still fun. I really like your recent part, Nimras. That's a great twist. Meh, I'm nowhere near as brilliant as you all. I just couldn't come up with situations like the ones you've managed to. That's the nice thing about storytelling. I don't have to worry about coming up with a situation, my mind will think of something... and I DON'T have to get them out of it! That's the best part--letting your imagination run away and leaving it up to someone else to catch it. Dan, to be honest, I'm feeling a little outclassed this week, too. ^^; Yet I'm still going to enter for this next part, because I won't have a chance if I don't try. ^^ Edit: Well, um, I was going to enter for the next part. I should've started writing it earlier; I've run out of time. But, uh, don't let the failure of my example discourage you! =D

*blinks* Well, misfit_for_hire's second entry certainly came as a shock. All my speculation up to that point had hinged on Vale being a minion of the Darkest Faerie, hence the Altador involvement. Darsha's personal vendetta probably makes more sense, although I was sort of hoping for a dream scene involving gleaming disembodied eyes.
I am very curious indeed to see how it wraps up! Now, if I can just restrain myself from constant refreshing....

Yay! I love writing the endings -- I am so excited that it was chosen!
There's one thing that the editor changed though:
"In the air they met, and all watching soon saw no trace of her.
All except Vale. "
Used to be:
"In the air they met, and all watching enjoyed the fireworks indeed."
All except Vale."
The way she changed it doesn't make any sense... it makes it sound like the Kougra didn't disappear to Vale. Or maybe she means not watching?
Too bad she changed it, though. I liked the idea of the Kougra blowing up into fireworks. ^^
Even so, YAAAAY!
