Congrats again, Schefflera! It looks like you're on a winning streak. Great job on this part, by the way... it's eerily similar to one of the ones I wrote, except the writing is of a much higher quality.

Congrats, Scheff! ^^ My entry had a spy in it too, but I think yours is a lot better; it develops the character. I focused too much on backstory, I think. I want to use my entry again for an NT piece later, though. I like the idea of it. Now it seems that everyone is telling their stories, at least for the time being. Cool. I want to see what the Chias' stories are. I wish the contest would update on time more regularly, as the first update comes at 9 PM my time. Today it was more like 10 PM, so now I have to go to bed. This is why I usually only enter after the second update--it gives me a whole day to think about my part.

Yeah, today's update was a little late. I liked Vespa's entry a lot, though! Good continuation of the story. I hope the update this evening isn't too terribly late. I'm getting impatient to see what happens next! Ah, I love Storytelling... such a wonderful distraction from studying Physics.

Way to go Lau! ^_^ I like the development of the Aisha's character; I'm glad she didn't try to pass herself off as a misunderstood innocent as well. *steadily wading through the details of the story* Whew, this is a lot of stuff to work with.

Hah... I guess that means I won! Yay! I haven't checked yet!!!
edit: And has anyone else been getting random mails?
"You made the last part, and I might make the next!"
"Congrats on getting into the storytelling competition, how much would you like for your The Storyteller collectible card you won? Name your price."
EIGHTY MILLION NP! HAHAHAHAAA!
Nah, lol. I put it in my gallery for now. It means a lot.

I am hoping as well that my part isn't too hard to follow. I was trying to bring the common theme amongst them all. If anyone has any questions, or it seems at all unclear, I'd be happy to elaborate. Sometimes the author knows what he or she is talking about and the readers are rather lost. Edit: I'll make a character chart to clear everything up. So far we have: Kiyer, Zafara: Double-agent, but loyal to the land. Turned away by the emporer; has some sort of rivalry toward the emporer's advisor. Bitterneck, Eyrie: He and his crew were wrongfully arrested on a trivial charge for trying to bring down Davey's ship (indicating that Shenkuu authority was protecting Davey). Crewmen, part of Bitterneck's crew. Darigan Aisha: Davey's first mate, locked in the dungeons when she objected their ship's involvement with Shekuu's emporer's advisor. (Must be pretty bad, to rattle a pirate.) Lime Chias: Ex-bodyguards to the emperor, locked away when they revealed the immorality of the advisor's dealings to the emperor. There... hopefully that sorts out the intentions of my entry. I wanted to complete everyone's parts in the puzzle. Now we just have to see how it all turns out!

I thought your part made sense, but I'm trying to think of this explanation that's supposed to come next. (Actually, I wouldn't be too surprised if there's an unofficial one-win limit for this one, but... it's hard to resist trying anyway. )

A lot of people will be after those pretty cards, and I guess it's fair that everyone gets a shot.

I hope I can come up with something that'd be good enough to continue it. ^^

Congrats, Lau! ^^ I really like how you developed the Aisha's character. I'm trying to figure out just what Kiyer knows, for my part...
That character chart is helpful, too. :3
Ah dear, I'm having trouble figuring out ways to continue this story. It's an interesting one, though. :3 (And I do kind of want the card. It'd be fun to have it. *smack'd for being materialistic* Well, it does represent a lot...)

Yeah, I guess the next part will play a big part in revealing what the link between the cellmates, the advisor, and the emporer IS. I'm curious to see what people come up with. And I don't think it's particularly materialistic for you to want the card, Nut! It's really special, only comes out once every 2 years, and only the people in that week's contest get one. Plus, mine commemorates my 75th win, a landmark that I've definitely worked hard to achieve! I don't think it's shameful at all to want to have such a prize, unless your sole motivation would be to turn around and sell it to the highest bidder within the hour. That would be pretty materialistic, lol!

Pfff. No smacking. There is nothing wrong with wanting prizes. Or selling them, for that matter. As of Storytelling #200, I was desperately entering and entering because there was a card collector who had an item I really wanted for my gallery. Of course, by the time I got in touch with him, he'd done something else with it. *facepalm* I got it later though. And Lau, 75?! Wow.

Yeah, I have to admit that the "materialistic" side of storytelling has its bonuses. I definitely have more NP than all of my friends, and was able to buy a Candychan (16 mil pure) without batting much of an eye. Of course, my assets now are a little declined... but all this winning rare item stuff does add up after a while! Especially when you get a Snowickle, lol. I got one of those for storytelling once, and one for a poem, once. PPPBs, however, seem to have a much higher average of being awarded as prizes than they used to.

Oh, and as for the 200th contest... I don't even think I had started entering storytelling much at that point. I think I started getting interested about fourteen weeks or so later. But I'm still hooked today, almost two years later!
