The golden answer!
Anyway, Nano is a fun writing competition that takes place every November. The goal is basically to write 50,000 words from 12:00:01am local time on November 1st to 11:59:59pm local time November 30th. It's hard, often aggravating, and incredibly crazy, but it's also an awesome experience.
This will be my fifth year participating.
Sign-ups open October 1, and you can spend the next month plotting, dreading, and waiting.
Everyone is encouraged to make their own thread tracking their Nano progress-- in your thread, you can post basically anything you want, from gripes and excerpts to character sheets and word-count tracking. If you're confused by that... just look at my thread. xD It can serve as a guideline for us easily confused folks. <3
