Nova overheard the talks about searching the manor. "Rider, we'll talk later." he said and then flew over to Fj0rd and Ginz.
"I'm available if you need me, my glowing and fire skills may be of use."He used his "star hands" (since Nova is a star he doesn't have any hands, but I don't know what to call them other than 'star hands' suggested by Ginz. xD) to create small light blue fire up in the air. "Even if Ikkin hit the wrong switch or this is a Halloween prank, it's best to know our surroundings in the manor in case something does happen."
He surveyed the room, watching everyone take action. He smiled, they were going to find Ikkin no matter what.
He then noticed that everyone was going after Kitty, and took flight towards her.

Ginz's eyes opened wide when Celes mentioned fighting. Ginz was a healer, so she wouldn't be completely unhelpful if the situation called for it... but small and weak as she was, she was very bad in actual combat.
She had been the first one to volunteer, and now that Kitty was leading the way, she was unsure whether she should follow. What if instead of helping, she caused more trouble?
"A-are you sure the basement is the best place to start?" she asked trying to gain time, her voice trembling.

Lupehunter also overheard the conversation about searching the mansion for Ikkin,so he took a gun out from his tuxedo and readied it, following the search team from a short distance to the basement. Before he headed downstairs, he summoned a fireball because he didn't know whether or not he was going to need it as soon as they were downstairs.
"Kitty, don't go too far without us," he shouted.

"No Ginz but we have no choice. Kitty is down there and we have to follow" Celestial said before going down into the darkness of the basement. She created a fireball in her hand and gave it to Overlord to hold on his crown and light the way.
He took off, swiftly and silently as any other Weewoo would. Looking like a ghost, Overlord made his way towards the front of the party and pierced the darkness of the basement, looking for Kitty.
Celestial herself half-ran, half-flew down the steps and carefully made her way to the front of the party, her magic ready in case anything should come up. Slowly her eyes adjusted to the near-darkness and she could make out the small details of the things Overlord lit up with the fireball. The basement was pretty spooky and she really wished Kitty would not go there. Everyone's formal dresses made a disconcerting swishing noise but at least Celestial knew that her's was practical enough, despite the length.
"If anything happens, don't hesitate to call out" she said to everyone behind her. Celestial felt very responsible for everyone since she was the one who asked for volunteers.

"Ginz, it'll be fine." Nova reassured her. "Come on, we could ue your healing skills."
Nova then went down the stairs into the basement, observing the cobwebs and little spiders with tiny red eyes. He shuddered and kept moving on. It soon got pitch black, so he lit a bright blue fireball in his star hands and moved them side to side, searching for any obsticles. None he could see, which was good. But where was Kitty? Oh Fyora, hopefully she didn't go missing too.
"Come on guys! Lets try to stay as a group." He hollered up the stairs. "Anyone know where Kitty is?"

Slightly reassured by her friends, Ginz hurried to follow. She didn't want everyone to be so far ahead.
"I hope my skills won't be needed. It would mean no one will get hurt," she whispered when she caught up with the group.
At first, she stuck close to Nova, to benefit from the blue fireball he had lit. But as it grew gradually darker, she decided to lit her own light. She made her healer staff appear and with a slight movement, the tip illuminated with white light. It didn't let Ginz see far ahead, but at least it made sure she didn't trip.

Hunter walked into the Manor, a bit annoyed. "Glitchio, you should be glad I even told you about this. You slowed me down getting here. I know you're a glitch, but you couldn't even read the map-" Hunter stopped. Everyone seemed worried. "What's going on?"
"Allow me to analyze." The visor on Glitchio's helmet showed some key events that had just happened. "Ah, Ikkin went missing? That's strange... Shall we help and head to the basement?"
"Yeah, obviously." Hunter said, trying to keep his voice up. In reality, Hunter was a bit afraid of the dark, and the haunted rumors of this place didn't help. But, Hunter still took his staff out. "Never leave home without this." Although, Hunter was more planning a nice ice sculpture than protection. Holding back fear, he rushed after the others.
((Sorry if I'm late, and if I can't have two personas, I'll kick Glitchio out somehow. If there's another comic, my picture is on the Mage persona thread, and Glitchio is in a green-tinted metal suit with a helmet that comes down in a point, with a large visor. Don't worry about detail on it if you feature him at all, I know that was a poor description.))

[glow=red,2,300]((I'm shooting many poisonous swearwords in the general direction of real-life, so sorry for not updating on time.
Two personas are OK, Hunter. ^_^))
Rider never went anywhere unarmed, but she thought it was a bit early to start talking about armaments. Particularly if, as Kitty said, the enemy they faced had no flesh to be cut.
She followed her friends into the basement. The dust lay thick upon the floor and the furniture. Clearly no one had been down here in a long time, particularly not a wind-mage with a tail like a dust mop.
Having been the last to leave, however, she had seen Goosh excuse himself from his own party. Figuring that her fellow party-goers were being silly, and perhaps Ikkin had just decided she needed to use the Little Kitsune's Room, she went back upstairs to light a fire in the fireplace. She stopped on the way to pick up some old newspapers that she hoped the Yurble wouldn't miss.
A headline from two years ago caught her eye. "Not Guilty" and under it, "Local Yurble walks free after allegedly engaging in illegal weapons deals." The article went on to explain how Goosh - and there could be no doubt it was Goosh - had allegedly been struck a deal with two canines who were not caught. Possibly a kitsune and a Lupe.
Of course, there were practically no such things as illegal weapons in Tabloid Town. It was all a matter of creativity, and the most illegal thing they were actually able to catch Goosh with was a creatively sharpened salmon. Naturally.
Rider ripped the article out. As quietly as she could, she got the attention of the rest of the party guests and showed them the article. [/glow]

Kat randomly appeared in a puff of purple smoke in a long, sparkling gown, right in front of Rider.
"What's going on?"
((Dangit, these things start when I'm not around. XDDDDD))

Goosh couldn't be far, and would come running back if there was a lot of shouting. [/glow]

Nova heard Rider come down the steps, and seeing Ginz with her own light, he decided it would be fine to meet up with Rider, she had that look on her face like she was about to say something important.
"Rider? What's going on? Oh hello Kat! Glad you made it."
Rider then gave him the newspaper article, but with hardly any light he couldn't read it. He then got an idea that he learned from a spellbook he had read. "Fa hee hasoo" he chanted, and then the paper in his hands glowed a faint blue light, just bright enough to read it.
He read the article, and passed it to the next person who wanted to read it. Confusion was written all over his face. "You think that Goosh might have kidnapped Ikkin? Or maybe Ikkin left on purpose and Goosh knows where she is?"

"I see," whispered Kat, nodding as she scanned the article. "Or, if Ikkin was indeed kidnapped, she developed Stockholm Syndrome and is now working in cahoots with him. Or that's just me rattling off random theories because I'm still quite in the dark. No pun intended. So what is our plan of action?"

Craig took the article from Nova, and read it quickly before the blue light of the spell wore off.
"Why would Goosh kidnap Ikkin on the same night that he had invited the entire NTWF to a Halloween party?" he asked, tugging at his orange bowtie. "That doesn't make sense. If he was involved, I don't see why he'd want a ballroom full of witnesses." Craig shrugged and looked around. "Besides, I think there might be more guests than even Goosh had counted on."
NTWFers had been popping up everywhere, appearing in puffs of smoke and sneaking down the stairs into the crowded basement. With party-goers in ball gowns, robes, and suits wandering in all diretions, it would be easy for someone to creep in unnoticed. After all, there had been the person who had hurried past Craig in the dark and knocked over his punch glass, not to mention any number of people who could have entered through side doors, windows, or chimneys.
"I don't think hanging around in this dingy basement is going to do us much good, though," he admitted. The search party was busy scouring every nook and cranny, some holding candles and others conjuring magical light. Nobody seemed to have spotted any sign of Ikkin, though, or anyone else for that matter. "I think I'm going to go upstairs. That's where Ikkin went missing, after all."

"I think I'm going to go upstairs. That's where Ikkin went missing, after all."
"For lack of anything better to do, I'll come with you," said Kat, drawing her wand from her sash. It (the wand, not the sash) extended into a staff that glowed with a bright purple light that matched her gown perfectly. "We all need backup at a time like this."
