I'm just curious, but does anyone have like a signature or key style that they write in? Like 1940s film noir, comedy etc.
Just wondering.

My general style has changed dramatically over the last year...even over the last few months. Some of my longer stories have suffered from it. There still are stories that I use my general style and sort of narrow it down in a particular style for that story.
I stink at comedy, but I do occasionally write in a lighter style. There are some light--very light--jokes.
Some of my stories are dramatic--not overly dramatic (I think and hope). Tears of the Sea could be called "dramatic" although I really don't like it. It's rather serious; perhaps dark, but mostly not. Just serious.
Then there are what I call my "cobwebs" that are just little, kind of--I can't grasp the word--stories that don't really fit into any one category. They aren't light, but they aren't dark/dramatic, so the word "cobweb" sums them up.
My general style--sort of the skeleton of all my writing--uses a lot of description and as specific words as I can.
So I don't really have any set style that I really "excel" in although there are some that I'm really bad at.
If that's what you're asking.

All my stories that I've written so far, have even a bit of comedy in them. Even if it's a serious matter, I always try to add a tinge (Did I just say "tinge"? What the?!) of comedy in the story. I can't help it.

I've tried slapstick humour once. It was an assignment for school last year I did with a group. We did a short film I wrote the script full of crazy funny stuff- slapstick humour every five lines. Our video was the funniest
