"I think this situation also calls for cookies. Yup, a meeting over cookies."
"Great minds must think alike. Except I was going to just meet her myself."
((Seriously.))
Omni looked over it the cowering Nature. There was something else she would like to have done.
"I'll be right back." She set down her plate, and using the Manor magic, she quickly made her way to her room. Once there, she opened a drawer in her nightstand, reached in, and pulled out a small, thin, rectangular, dark-cream-colored object. She closed the drawer and ran to the kitchen, object in hand.
"Okay, I'm back. Did you get some cookies, yet?"

((So... I just sent Slothbird after a normal spider? Well, I suppose Slothbird could be distracted by something and go to do something interesting.))
"All hands on the dining table. We've got things to talk about." Hunter snapped out of his thoughts. Kat tried to calm down Nature again, then came back up. "I think this situation also calls for cookies. Yup, a meeting over cookies." Hunter didn't really see the point of the cookies, but oh well. He wasn't about to object. They might calm Nature down, after all. But Hunter did say something. "It is about time we figured out what's been going on."

"... I mean, the owner of this staff is a girl!" Uncle stuttered. "I could sense... female hormones... around this branch..."
PFA stifled a giggle. "You sure that's not because there's three female ninjas he--"
Snap. Crack. Rumble. Those never were good sounds.
"RUN!" PFA yelped, as she noticed the boulder behind them. Emphasizing this statement, PFA ran from the boulder as fast as she could. Her mind raced as she tried to think of ways to stop the boulder...

Bettyming crawled up the nearest tree, terrified. Despite all the metal jangling in her backpack, there was not a single item that could stop the boulder. And, of course, they were in a forset with no flammables. Her clan never thought about geology. Bettyming clinged to a tree branch crying. A rock had no cells, and it did not live. What could she do?

"For the love of fish, why?"
Summing up the situation in the few seconds she had before the boulder would make it's imminent impact, Jakie decided the others were useless. Not as she were much better. There was not much that was any good against solid rock. She could only pray that Cat Assassin had something up his sleeve, because the other three obviously did not.
With not many options left to her, she seized hold of PFA's shirt collar and dived to the left.

Rumble. Rumble. Cat Assassin's ears quickly picked up the dangerous sounds of a boulder rushing down towards them. He watched as the other ninjas quickly dove sideways in fear of getting squished by the rock, unconsciously giving him space for him to be able to use one of his new tricks. Cat Assassin had learned this partially from the search for the gem months ago, where he was forced to use his energy in numerous ways. Back then, he reckoned that he needed more protection than an immobile circular Signum Sanctuary and a life-threatening Extremity Signum Sanctuary. With that thought in mind, he underwent a week away from the Ninja Dojo to hone his energy-bending skills in a secluded dungeon. Today was the chance for him to see if his training paid off. Cat Assassin clapped his hands in front of him and let his energy force surround them. The yellow light that emitted from his hands was quickly followed by a slowly-appearing hint of green, and as he moved his hands away from each other, the space between them created some sort of an energy platform. The cat started to move, letting his hands create a large ramp made out of pure energy, while keeping in mind that he needed to stop the boulder, not destroy it. He needed to examine how it was made as a trap specifically for them ninjas. He was successful; the boulder went on the ramp, quickly slowing itself down due to gravity. Within seconds, the boulder was completely motionless, resting between the rocky ground and the ramp the cat created. Still holding the ramp with his hands, Cat Assassin looked at the other ninjas. "I can't let go of my ramp, so you'll have to check the boulder for me. See if there's anything unusual with it," he ordered them. (Testing your creativity this time. )

"I think this situation also calls for cookies. Yup, a meeting over cookies." Cookies?! Even though she wasn't thinking straight at the moment, Nature knew what cookies were and would gladly go out to get some (her stomach wanted them.) But then, her mind (which was in shambles) didn't seem to agree with the poor Freezemancer, and to torture her some more, it started making Nature see things - from the corner of her eye, Nature "saw" an even larger spider crawling on the wall - even if there was no spider anywhere. Terrified, Nature let out a little screm and curled herself into a tighter ball, tears threatening to fall down her eyes. Nature really, really hated spiders . . . ===*=== "I'd really rather not think about it. Let's just say I ran into some of those misfits on the way here. I can't wait to put them all out of their misery...or at least, march them off into our dungeons and have them work for us. That will teach them. Anyway, I'm sure the rest will be here soon...perhaps some are coming from far-flung places, or had business of their own, like Althius."Marthae nodded at the explaination of her Superior. "Right," she muttered loud enough for Evandra to hear. She sighed and shrugged. "Oh well. We will just have to wait. But not too long - if the other Mageri are any more late than they are now, then I will surely lose my patience." Marthae shook her head and, like Althius, proceeded to find her seat. Once found, the older clairvoyant sat down and took off her hood to reveal what she looked like - a dark-skinned woman with thick, unruly black hair and narra-brown eyes. Under her eyes were strange but simple markings, and she wore black lipstick. Marthae did certainly look like a witch, but no one really minded. She sat still in her seat, waiting for the other Mageri to come. ===*=== "Oy, urgent meeting here, all Mageri wanted! That means you two!"((Insert record-scratch sound here. XD)) Surprised and embarassed by the sudden interruption, Dymien and Lireo pulled away from each other's kiss/embrace and glared at Althius. The redhead disappeared, leaving the two Mageri alone again. "Looks like we're going to have to go inside now . . ." Lireo mumbled quietly. Dymien sighed deeply, disappointed that his moment of romance was ruined by some nutbolt who had no buisness on what was going on whatsoever. Still, this meeting was important, so . . . Giving each other glances, the duo went on inside the Hall. There wasn't really anything going on. Only three Mageris were inside the large room - Evandra, the second-in-command to the Leader; Marthae, master potion-maker and resident fortune-teller; and Althius (whom Lireo was going to kill later.) They found their seats, which were two seats away from each other, but still. Muttering something about the temperature getting too warm, the incantator - a young man with slightly long chesnut-brown hair and bright, ocean-blue eyes - took off his hood and sat down to wait. Two seats away, the lightning-user took off her hood - a pale-skinned woman with lemony hair and piercing apple-green eyes - and sat down, too. Now, there were five mages in the room - Evandra, Althius, Marthae, Dymien and Lireo. Once all were in their seats (except for Evandra, who stood in the middle of the room), they silently waited for the other Mageris and the Leader to come, hoping that they don't take too long. ===*=== ((Okay, this is serious. We need more Mageris. Like, now. >_> Oh, and I'll be away for a whole week - I hate exam week. >_> Please wait up for me.))

"It's... big, certainly. And it's... kinda hard, but..." Bettming looked closely at the gigantic rock that nearly crushed her. She took off her backpack and looked for something- a small piece of metal, ineffective for fighting, but it had a diamond edge. As she tried to slice into the rock, a thin layer seemed to peel off. "...It's actually considered soft. By rock standards, of course."

When Nature burst of out the cupboard, Celestial's first instinct was to fly backwards a few feet so she wasn't hit by Nature or the door. It was one of the few times she was glad she had those instincts. A very large spider crawled out after the Zafara but thankfully Kat trapped it.
"I think this situation also calls for cookies. Yup, a meeting over cookies." Kat spoke and Celestial nodded. Cookies certainly sounded good since despite the ham, she was still quite hungry. However, Nature had to be calmed first.
A shriek came from under the table. Celestial dived in to find poor Nature ready to cry but there was nothing there, no spider and not even anything vaguely frightening.
"Perhaps before the start the meeting we calm Nature down?" she asked the other mages. If there was going to be a meeting, nobody would be left behind if she could help it.
"Nature, don't worry, there is nothing there. Please come out, you'll be alright. We have cookies and there are no more spiders out here" Celestial pleaded. Nature seemed very scared and the Dragon Mage tried to think of what could cheer her up. What did Nature like?
The Beatles. A small smile spread across Celestial's face. She didn't know many songs but she knew a few. She didn't think of herself as a good singer but if she had to, she would. Taking a deep breath, Celestial sang.
Blackbird singing in the dead of night Take these broken wings and learn to fly All your life You were only waiting for this moment to arise

"Perhaps before the start the meeting we calm Nature down?"
"If we plan on including her, then that would be a good idea." Omni pressed on a spot on the object and it… unfolded. Two rectangular pieces lifted themselves on their hinges off of the base, as if to form an 'L,' and one snapped into the base, the other stopped upright. She pressed a spot on the upright rectangle, and it expanded to twice the width and height. Part of the upright piece lit up, and Omni started interacting with the object. As she was about to do what she wanted to do, Celestial started singing a song completely unfamiliar to her.
Well, if that's what I think it is, it would probably be effective.

A meeting over cookies and Celestial singing Beatles songs. Hmm. This seems more like Tabloid Town than Mage Manor. Hunter thought, and held back a grin. It was probably to calm Nature down. Hunter had done some research before coming to the Manor, and knew that Nature was a Freezemancer. Well, maybe if I cast some ice magic, it will calm her down. But what to do? Hunter thought of something. I'm going to be so brick'd for this. Hunter took out his staff, and with a few waves of it, he created ice sculptures of the Beatles. Granted, it was a little bit sloppy, but it was (hopefully) still recognizable. Hunter sat back down in his seat, glad that he had at least done something.
~~~
Slothbird had been following the spider through the dark forest, and was convinced that it was a completely normal spider. Slothbird completely gave up, and started to fly back towards the Manor. But on his way back, he spotted a figure in the forest. He seemed to be talking to himself. Slothbird perched in a tree for a closer look. "Hmph. I'm this close to those blasted mages, and I have to go to a meeting. If the meeting is about how we are going to after them, I'm going to scream. Well, I was already there, before I had to go to this stupid meeting! It's times like these when I regret being a Mageri." The Mageri then took out a strange compass-like object. He opened it, and it projected images of many worlds, the NTWF, Neopia, and others Slothbird didn't recognize. Slothbird flew down for a closer look, but the Mageri said something unintelligible and Slothbird felt a jerk. Teleportation!?
~~~
Mundus put away his compass. He was back in the Mageri world. Home, whether he liked it or not. That last teleportation felt different. Not too much tougher, but like he carried some more this time. Of course, the other Mageri would just joke about him putting on weight, not realizing how powerful his teleportation magic is. But Mundus still shook it off as nothing. When Mundus walked into the Hall for the meeting, he did not notice the greenish bird hiding behind a pillar.
((Yes, I created a Mageri, had my Weewoo go to their world, and created a pillar so he would go unnoticed. If there's anything against something there, like my pillar, let me know))
((Also, Firefox says that teleport isn't a word.))

Jakie suddenly grabbed PFA by the collar and dived out of the way of the boulder. Not that PFA was angry at the other ninja for this--quite the opposite, rather--but it did catch her off-guard.
"Thanks," she muttered to Jakie, before standing up and brushing the dirt off her clothes. Uncle had managed to stop the boulder, and Bettyming was examining it.
"...It's actually considered soft. By rock standards, of course."
"A soft rock?" PFA shoved her kunai back in its pouch as she wandered closer to the rock. "What kind of rocks are soft, and where would you get one that's this big? And why would someone try to crush us with it?"
The ninja paused for a moment to ponder this. Perhaps wherever this rock came from, it could give them a clue to who set up the trap. A very small clue, but a clue nonetheless.

"Oy, finally, there's another one." Althius was the first to notice the new arrival. "Hey, whatsisname...Mundungus."
Evandra raised her eyebrows at him. "It's Mundus."
"Oh. Sorry."
* * *
"Thanks," said Kat, nodding to Celestial and Hunter. "Once Nature calms down and grabs a seat, we can start the meeting." She snapped her fingers, and two jars of cookies appeared on the table, some sparkling purple light still issuing from the cupboard she summoned them from. "'Tis all right, Nature, we've got cookies now, all kinds. The fresh ones you helped me bake, because I fail at baking, remember?"
She smiled - or at least, tried to. Kat couldn't shake that ominous feeling, and it was definitely nothing to smile about.
Neither was Nature panicking like this.

"A soft rock?" Cat Assassin clarified, obviously wondering why the boulder was here in the first place. Forests in NTWF usually have rocks of high quality that they were even used one time as a weapon before they were replaced by the more powerful bricks. "Looks to me like this boulder's not from around here. Whoever carried that here must have very powerful arms."
"... Or a very large magical inventory," he sarcastically thought.
"Wait a minute," Cat Assassin exclaimed, eyes wide open. "Traps like these don't finish in a single mo-"
Before he could even finish that statement, the cat could see fireballs coming from every direction blazing towards the ninjas. "Those, I can't stop. RUN!" he ordered everyone.
Cat Assassin would've ran as well had he forgotten to remove his grasp from his own ramp, but he knew that would cause the boulder to start rolling again. "Crud... I really hate imperfections."
-------------------------------------
"... That's scary, Mister Sir! I don't want to get whipped."
Young Cylak was awake once more, this time conversing with the souls around her. If there was anything she learned from them, it was the brutal experiences they had whilst inside the room she was in. However detailed their last seconds of their lives were, the souls could not figure out why they were disposed of in the first place.
It was in an instant that four souls with forms very different to the ones around Cylak began circling around her. They were the same four souls that guided her throughout her journey with Cat Assassin, and they had the power to merge with her into their own selves. One soul in particular began hovering in front of her face.
"Cylak, we should probably try escaping," that same soul spoke in a young female voice. It was Mana, the human mage who once lived in a world she did not belong and was fatally sacrificed for doing so. "I can sense something going on here, and I'm having a feeling that it isn't going to be pretty," she added.
"No, Cat Assassin will get me out of here! I know he'll be coming," Cylak optimistically insisted.
"... But I'm afraid he'll lose much time figuring out where you are," spoke another soul circling around her in a low male voice. It was Regna, the wolf hermit who lived his whole life in a jungle full of cannibals. "... If you don't do anything now, he might arrive too late."
"But... But..."
Mana's soul began rubbing Cylak's face, as if trying to comfort her. "Don't worry, Cat Assassin will definitely find you. He always do. So we should really help him find you, okay?"
Cylak nodded, but not before fainting out once more.
"It's this thing holding her," Regna noticed. "It's keeping her exhausted."

"Where do you think it could be from, then?" PFA asked.
It was right about then when fireballs started blazing through the air, toward the ninjas. PFA grimaced. Why did everyone always have to be so persistent when trying to kill people?
Uncle was preoccupied with keeping the boulder in place. He wouldn't be able to run. Well, PFA thought, looks like it's up to me, then.
Swiftly, PFA jumped into the air, landing a few feet away from Cat Assassin. To Jakie and Bettyming, she shouted, "Guys, either run or get over here, right now!"
As soon as the other two ninjas had made their decisions, PFA took a deep breath. And then, with a wave of her arms, a barrier came up around PFA, and whoever happened to be within a ten-or-so foot radius of her.
Hopefully, she could keep it up long enough to block all the fireballs. Come on, PFA, she told herself. Make all that training worth something.
((Bettyming and Jakie, you can godmode yourselves into the barrier if you want to, or you can do something else. :3 Your choice.))
