If you're reading this, you're probably feeling the sting of rejection from the Times. Or you're well-off and just want to see what I'm posting here. Either way, for those who haven't been published in the Times yet or were recently rejected, here are some tips to help:
1. Take a deep breath and bang your keyboard against the nearest wall a few times.
2. Buy a new keyboard and look over the piece you sent in. Are there spelling or grammatical errors? Are there any other mistakes or flaws you can fix to make the piece better? Does it conform to the standards on Neopets (no swearing, blah blah blah)? If yes, fix the problems. If none of these apply, you might have sent in the submission late. After Tuesday, it usually won't get in the Times for the next week.
3. Wait a week to see if it gets in the next Times, or send in a different piece. After that, send in the revised original piece.
4. Eat some chocolate. Mmm...chocolate.
5. Realize that nobody's perfect. If you get in after a rejection, great! If not, and you really think you're good at writing or writing, try again. Don't feel discouraged over a rejection, but if you seriously don't think writing or drawing is for you, you shouldn't make yourself do it again.

Good tips!! But I'd probably get in alot of trouble with my parents.. (banging the keyboard against the wall XD)

I know, but sometimes I feel angry enough to do that. Especially when I'm waiting to see if I was accepted or rejected.

I believe that I was rejected this week...ember's story got in Week 77...I found that out on the Welcome Felicia board. Sigh...patience, patience, maybe next week....

I think I was rejected this week, too... *sigh* and it was a good short story. Excuse me for a minute while I go flush all my "Case" shorts down the toilet.

Maybe I'm too adicted to chocolate... I buy a bag of Dove Milk Chocolate (my fave!), and it dissapears in about 3 days or so... maybe less... I wonder where it goes? I don't remember eating it.... j/k
