Mutant Peophins!

Never done one of these before, so I'm probably doing something wrong, eheh. Feel free to virtually slap me if I've messed up.

Anyhoo. Prettiest mutant pet I've ever seen. I thought it was maraquan when I first saw it. I really like the color scheme; the cyan-on-blue-on-purple is original and pretty cool, and the shading looks nice. The tail is a little weird, and to me, the only thing that really feels mutated about the whole Peophin. The eyes are a little freaky too; they look pupil-less. And my favorite part is probably those claws.

All in all, a very good pet. ^_^ I'd gladly get one if I didn't have four pets.

8D Whoa. That thing is awesometastic. Love the claws. I just think they should have matched the colours of the claws more, though--it would look more unified if the top of the claw was the same purple as the body.

I love it. The mutant version suits it very well - it looks very Maraquan, which is how I kind of imagine Peophins to be. The colors are amazing - bold and colorful, and there aren't many mutants who are brightly colored. It's lovely. I really like it.

Wow, all I can say is wow. Truly one of the best mutants that I've seen. Creepy at the same time as well, with the octopus/crab/seahorse combinations

I've never been a fan of Mutants, though the colours here are quite nice!

But wow. When i saw this on the news, i was blown away. =O Lately the colors havent been -too- great... then the artists come up with this! Awesome! =D

Tch. I dunno. I love the design and the concept. The color palette is also quite interesting. A very watery type of mutant.


However, I am not very happy with the stylistic execution of this Peophin. The artist really got carried away with the shading. The purple shading has five different levels, and the blues/yellows have three. That, coupled with the extra detail in the pattern of the markings and the quantity of appendages.... well, it's too detailed for a Neopet image. It doesn't match the style of the other designs. If they were going to go with that many head-tentacles and a three-toned marking pattern, then the shading should've been far simpler.

It's beautiful, but too elaborate.

Wow. It's beautiful. The claws and eyes make it look truly mutant (and the eyes suggest slight insanity on the Peophin's part), but the colours are so beautiful- and the tentacles and mane make it look like an eerily beautiful inhabitant of the shadowy parts of Maraqua.

I think it's almost too pretty to be mutant. XD I'm personally not a fan of mutants normally, but the Peophin is beautiful. A pet I would consider having, actually. ^^

I've always said that you can't ruin a Peophin and I was proved right with this one. It is perfect, the colours are magnificent, the pet itself is creepy and beautifl at the same time and the mane...oh my goodness the mane!! It is just one of the most beautiful mutants I have ever seen. *scrambles to have up for a trans potion*

The details only compliment the design. And it suits the Peophin too. Definitely my favourite mutant so far. =3

I think the Peophin gem on the forehead is another eye.
