Well, I just replayed the original Half-Life on holiday, and I thought that with a game as widely defined as in the Half-Life universe (which even includes Portal), surely there is plenty to discuss about it? The title is a reference to the ending of the original Half-Life, should anyone doubt. This club might die before it even lives, but I just thought HL deserved one. Half-Life series: It includes Half-Life, HL: Blue Shift, HL: Opposing Force (Stal is observant ), HL: Decay, Half-Life 2, HL2: Lost Coast, HL2: Episode One, Two and Three, and Portal.

Oh yes, that's right Stal, I forgot that one. ^^' after the testing, you will be baked, and there will be cake. Yup, that's the avatar quote I used for a long time. Is anyone playing the Half-Life series via Steam? I bought the Orange Box there (Too bad the Black Box was cancelled) so I could automatically download the third party mods for free. A few of them are Rock 24 and Riot Act, both very well made. And there seem to be more people acquainted with Portal; you can download custom maps for that game too. ;D I don't know if the xBox 360 has those downloads. Plot-related: I replayed HL so that I could pay more attention to what actually was said (my English wasn't that good back when I first played it) and I noticed some things: Before the disaster, all the scientists mutter things about missing charts and whether to report a minor anomaly. Also, in the test chamber the scientists (Eli Vance was one of them, right?) mentioned the administrator wanting to rush things a bit, so they went off protocol. This all inevitably led to the resonance cascade, and afterwards all the scientists whine that 'I warned him, I warned him, but the administrator just wouldn't listen'. And then, in Half-Life 2, Alyx mentions that Dr. Breen was the old administrator, and now he's allied with the Combine! If I may throw some theory of Douglas Adams in, that seems an awful lot like temporal reverse engineering on the Combine's part. That, or Dr. Breen is actually a Combine that infiltrated Earth early.
