Lucas gasped.

I figured contributing a small portion to this club doesn't do justice. So I've decided to make a real fan fiction. Enjoy. ^_^
Ness and Lucas were sitting down on some grass by a lake. Lucas turned to Ness. “You know, Ness,” Lucas said, “this has to have been one of the best days of my life.”
“Well, no need to thank me.” Ness replied. “You’re one of my friends, you know.”
“Actually, Ness...” Lucas began, “we need to talk. We’ve been friends for a long time and...”
“And?” Ness asked.
“I think we need to bring it up a notch. I mean, we’re more than friends, you know.” Lucas explained.
“So... what do you want it to be?” Ness asked, turning his head sideways in puzzlement.
“Ness...” Lucas said.
“Lucas...” Ness said. They each moved their heads toward each other as the sun started setting.
“We should be...” Lucas suggested.

...
As they seemed as if they were about to kiss, Lucas said, “we should be... best friends.”
“Wait, what?” Ness asked. "You mean we aren't going to be lovers-"
“Uh... no? Best friends sounds better! ... Well, see you tomorrow, Ness!” Lucas said happily, waving goodbye.
Killix then chased after Kirby with a bloody axe after ending the fan fiction this way.
