Well...
I started out supporting Mystery Island, in AC I. When they were bumped out of the finals, however, I switched to Darigan, as I realized at that point how much I loved Darigan colored pets, and how awesome the team members themselves were. I mean, c'mon, who doesn't love Darigan Hissis and Gelerts??
So...yes, DC has scored in the top three the past two tournaments. But I've grown to love my Darigan Citadel-ian team, and I pick them out of loyalty (And team member adoration ^^) rather than their previous wins.

Kiko Lake. I'm fighting for the underdogs here. I admit it was a tough choice between Kiko Lake and Maraqua. My Neopets persona is alternately a Purple Kiko and a Belle doll (*cough* Fountain Faerie Doll), and I have strong loyalties to both Kikos and water. Kiko Lake combines the two, and I feel like the Kikos need someone to stick up for them. Part of the reason I joined Neopets in the first place was because I wanted a Kiko, and they've been my favorite pets since. I couldn't just desert them for a bigger and better team in a time when they were bound to be hurting from the general shortage of support from the Neopian public. Go Kikos!

I stick with Darigan because I like them rather than for anything to do with their chances, but I didn't choose the "stay out of loyalty" choice because the way it's phrased sounded as if the team is doing poorly, especially with "too loyal to change" then implying that there are good reasons to otherwise. (Kind of like "He might be a lousy polo player, but he's a good friend" would be generally understood to acknowledge that the guy IS a lousy polo player, rather than that it's just a possibility.) I should have read the first post. Sorry?

I picked Kiko Lake. SOMEONE has to stand up for the poor creatures.

I see some answers of the opposite of the first choice. From Jason too: Picking a bad team you happen to like because they're so underrated. Interesting...

*agrees with Scheff* That "too loyal to change" option sounded way too loaded for me. XD Sounded stubborn.

Tyrannia always sucks, but I've got a soft spot for all them primitive life forms (dinosaurs ftw!), so I always support Tyrannia. That is, when I'm not completely avoiding the AC.

Terror Mountain ftw! Its always been my favorite land (so much to do! -plus), features some of my favorite species, and my 'hometown'. Its sucks, but I'm staying loyal. =D

Shenkuu and only, Shenkuu The fellows there appreciate that teammates do their best and there is no discrimination. Spirited and honorable, what more can I ask for?

I am supporting Shenkuu. My initial thought was to support Meridell because I've been a loyal Meridellian resident for years, but decided that it was time to change it up a little. I picked Shenkuu because I'm absolutely in love with their oriental-type world, colors, and assumed lifestyle in general.

I chose Mystery Island, because it's where I live. Fun in the sun!

[shadow=purple,left,300]Meridell FTW!
Why? For one thing, it's my home base. If Neopia was real, I would definitely see myself there. I've always liked Meridell very much, and even if they had a terrible team, I think I'll support them anyway.
And I tried supporting Altador last year but my heart wasn't in it as much as when I went back to the good ol' red, gold and blue. XD[/shadow]

I joined Roo Island last year because of the team choice personality test. I was quite happy with the result - the Roo colors are vibrant, and the whole atmosphere is upbeat. Roo Island ended up doing really well last year and seems quite secure this year in the top bracket, so I'm happy with my choice. I met some nice people on the Roo boards too.

Well, the first year I chose the Darigan, and I didn't enter last year, but this year I wanted to choose something different, so I chose my second favourite team, that being Krawk Island. =)
