Yes. I know what I want to do with NaNo. Okay, so when I was little, I would always have these ideas flowing through my mind, right? I had this one, where a Princess would change into an Evil Thief at night.

And now I've spilled it over in a NaNo story.

It's a different year, and a different universe. Year 3016. The universe that it is in is different than Earth's atmosphere, as it developed more quickly and started as what we would deem to be futuristic by the 1800s. By Year 3016, what could you expect? More that meets our eyes.

This universe also has it's fantasy twists to it. Our animals? Bah. They've evolved into more intelligent and advanced species, intertwining with each other and creating all new animals. Not to mention that what seems like our myths are their reality. Yes, dragons and phoenixes and gryphons exist in their world.

Okay, so every Continent has their one Royal Family which is in control of everything on their Continent. While the rest of the world is futuristic, the Royal Family has always had a Medival Theme to the way they dress. The Orayel family has been in charge of Top Iremica for years upon years, a new prince or princess being born every 50 years. With that said, I present to you Princess Alycie Elizabayeth Orayel.

The Princess is 16-years-old. Her hair is a lively yellow color, but it is always held up in a ponytail. I'll explain why that is later. Her eyes are a golden brown, and her skin is pale. Alycie has a bit of a rude and sarcastic reputation, being bored to tears with politics and being a Princess. The biggest thing she fears is becoming Queen, and then she'll need a King.

I'll explain later about Iggly the Imdesia Chubi and The Mistress of the Night. Ohhh... And the Lunar Staff, of course.

And I did Character Sketches today. Maybe I'll scan em in later on.

From the Journal of Princess Alycie: (Note that this is NOT going to be used in the novel, but just for now to be creative. XD)

Mistress of the Night

They really don't know who she is. The police don't have enough information about her. All they know is that she one of the best criminals and thieves in the area.

They call her the Mistress of the Night, because that's basically what she is. She owns the night. Banks and museums know that the nighttime is when most theives strike, and 99% of the time they catch the thieves.

But the Mistress of the Night has been the only one that hasn't been sent behind bars.

Of course, I have the information about her. I know all about the Mistress. Why? How? I'll tell you later.

The Mistress is 16-years-old. Her height, however, suggests older. Her hair is a dark purple, and is cut roughly down to the middle of her spine. She lets one strand of hair flow in front of her face, and her thick bangs usually rest on her shoulders. She likes to experiment with different hairstyles and different outfits, but her most famous one is the one-armed cape. On one side it is torn short, and the other sleeve stretches down like a glove over her fingers. The back of the shirt is longer than the front, and it flows like a cape.

Her companion is an Imdesia, which has fur as red as blood. The Imdesia is her aid in her thefts, carrying her from place to place, although some people have rumors that Mistress has the supernatural ability to fly. Would make sense in this kind of world, as supernatural abilites are becoming more common.

While Mistress does carry some supernatural abilites, flying, alas, is not one that she has aquired. A reason why her Imdesia carries her around through the night. She also carries a staff with her, which is a power source for her abilities.

Of course, only I'll ever know that. Why? Because I, Princess Alycie Elizabayeth Orayel, am secretly the Mistress of the Night.

I'm really sorry that I'm not getting around to posting info on the Lunar Staff or even Iggly, but today I came up with another major character who will appear mid-way into the story. I call her Amilie Aramas Rose.



A lot of info is put into that character design sheet.

Her eyes are a little hard to explain. They look like they have a squiggle through them, but that's just effect to show that her eyes look really eerie.

More about Amilie's name: She's got that horror movie little girl "you will die in seven days" look to her, doesn't she? I came up with the character, then the name.

Spell Aramas backwards. (Aramas is her middle name)

And what does Amilie Rose sound like? Emily Rose? And exorism come to mind?

Amilie's hair is really wicked. Her bangs are down to her shoulders, usually covering half of each eye. The back of her hair is cut shorter than her bang, maybe its down to the middle of her neck.

In the time that Amilie and Mistress live in, it is the Post-World War 5. World War 5 was like WW2 to us, but instead of Jews and others that Hitler didn't like, it was people with magical abilities. Supernatural powers. 3/4s of the supernatural race was killed, and that 1/4 now stays in hiding in fear of an Aftermath. Amilie was born shortly before WW5, so her parents were killed. Amilie was left alone because she was still young and her powers hadn't developed yet. In other words, she looked like an ordinary human.

Being orphaned did a number on her. That's how she got her eerie little girl look. However, a Police Officer took her in when she was 8, and now Amilie is 10. Because of her psychic and pyro abilites, the Police Squad told her that she could help them with busting criminals.

One night, the PS decide to test Amilie out on the night of Mistress's heist. Mistress is startled when the little girl is standing in the middle of the hallway to the museum. But Amilie does not want to harm Mistress. She actually thinks of Mistress as her idol. "I work for the Police. They all think I'm a freak, but they like me. Somewhat. They just use me."

Amilie goes on to live with the Royal Family, and Alycie stats that it is because she couldn't stand to see a dear little girl grow up around Officers. In secret, Alycie takes Amilie in as a partner-in-crime, and, like Alycie becomes Mistress, Amilie becomes the Black Rose.
