So...yeah. For some reason, I thought a lot during my hiatus about what I'd put here. I just want to get it all out.
Forum Nickname: Fraze
Species: As human as...uhh...humanly possible?
Transformations: None.
Appearance: Hazelish-brown eyes. Brown hair that's hopelessly curly. Hair pulled back into a neck-length ponytail. 6 feet/183 cm tall. Thin and lanky. Unusually long arms (not ape-dragging-knuckles-on-floor long, just slightly-too-long-for-my-height long).
Character type: Scientist/origamist/capoerista.
Weapon of Choice: Table of Smiting: A rough-hewn four-legged stone table about 1 meter by 1 meter by 1 meter, and the only magical artifact I use on a normal basis. It is a multi-purpose weapon. It has two grips, one on each of two neighboring legs. By holding both of these grips, it can be wielded with more precision but less force; by holding only one grip, it can be wielded with less precision but more force, like a mace. One grip has a pivot, allowing the table to spin freely around the pivot when spun around. The other grip hides a bowstring. This bowstring can be unwound and attached to the other grip. This bow can be used either as a sort of ballista or as a regular, handheld bow. It has several simple spells placed upon it. One makes it much harder and more durable than normal stone; another makes it lighter and easier to lift, but does not change the amount of force that can be put into a blow.
I also possess the only known Singularity Sphere1 currently in existence, but I have no intention of using it (see below for an explanation why).
I will occasionally summon The Shrike, but usually only to make a point.
I am currently learning the art of capoeira, a Brazilian martial art/dance. My forum persona is currently learning this art as well, and will increase in skill as I do.
Equipment (I'm adding this in because I don't know where else to put it): Universal box2, origami paper.
Magical capabilities: None. My persona relies mainly on science rather than magic.
Personality: Laid-back, with a comedic streak as long as my--*dragged off, struggling, by censor-happy mods*
--my ARM! I was going to say my ARM! Sheesh...
It is nearly impossible to get me angry, both IRL and in character. I get annoyed and angry with myself fairly often, but almost never with other people. I have a tendency to accept quietly setbacks and difficulties that would tick off most other people (not always a good thing, actually...). I usually only fight when necessary, or when it is purely in fun with friends (ie, playing capoeira). Can be quiet when the conversation is something I can't contribute to...or can be incredibly talkative if it is something I can contribute to. A horrible procrastinator.
Tabloid Data:
Rivalries: None.
Mother: Nope.
Father: Nope.
Siblings: See above.
Children: See above the above.
Significant Other: None. Constantly avoiding Hunty's pursuit.
Alter-egos or other persons: None, unless I decide to bring my pets over here sometime. In which case, see next post.
Willing to be used in Tabloids? Sure!
1Singularity sphere: Looooong story behind this. To make it short, this is a weapon I came up with for an RP character I've had since I was six. Singularity sphere is my name for a "naked singularity," a black hole that has been stripped of its event horizon. A singularity is the infinitely dense point at the center of a black hole. ((In truth, no one knows if naked singularities actually exist, but it's a possibility.))
This is where my idea deviates from scientific theory: the singularity sphere is extremely unstable. It is kept in a stasis shell about the size of a tennis ball. If it is disturbed too much, the stasis shell will break and the singularity will explode. The force from the resulting explosion is approximately that of a supernova. ((To put this in context: if our sun went supernova, it would destroy our entire solar system, and probably do a fair amount of damage to solar systems several light years away from us. Take Xiv's sadism, cross it with Thundy's nuke-happy tendencies. Make the resulting person incredibly PO'd at the universe. That should give you some idea of this scale.))
2Universal box: a box, about the size of a ring case, that contains a universe. This is what I store the Singularity Sphere in. The universe inside the box is completely separate from the box itself--that is, if you shake the box, the universe inside does not shake. This is why it is ideal for holding the Singularity Sphere. It is possible for people to enter the Universal Box, even though its opening is very small. The inside is a room the size of a large airline hangar. I may store other things in the box, but the Singularity Sphere is the only thing that is always in it. As long as the lid of the box is closed, nothing can get in or out of the box. So, it is possible that the Singularity Sphere could detonate inside the box, but the explosion would not escape until the box was opened. Thus, there is a small, clear peephole in the lid of the box.
