Haha whoa, this plot actually has substantial characters and interesting story development...it's gonna be a lot harder to write a parody of this one. Another thing that I like about this story is it's inclusion of Neopian science. I'm seeing a lot of depth in that.

Funny, in fact x3 People always think that Neo is a kiddy-kiddy site and then they come out with a plot that has agglutinative languages. (Come to think of it, did they say that Tyrannian is an agglutinative language? It consists of uggas. Agglutination means pasting affixes together to make different word forms and cases, which makes the words pretty long and polysyllabic in general. Bummer, Neo.) I don't really like the fact that it has a steamship though T_T Steamships are 19th century. A little more and we get Daimlers. I like my medieval Neopets x.x With its unharmed ozone layer and all. It's a nice change, yeah, but this had better not become a trend >>

Now I lost 7 times. Can someone help? My username is Buzzbuzz_g27 Scarab Ring+Leaf Shield If your pet has 10 HP like my Lupe does.. Turn 1: Above combination, Defend Then the rest of the turns Jump and Attack while using SR+LS. At least that's what I've been doing. Oh thank you thank you thank you xD;; Fraze even leant me a Leaf Shield a while back, nice guy that he is, but I wasn't being smart in using it (in my defence... umm... I'm a moron :3). This has resulted in my first actual win against this thing.

It doesn't really surprise me... but I am not a terrible fan of medieval times, to be honest, so maybe that's why I accept it more easily. ... The agglutination concept is an extremely interesting one. I like the idea of Tyrannian being an agglutinative language. =3 It's fun trying to come up with ways for that language to make sense. I always imagined it to have tonal changes to make up for the lack of word choice, although since Tyrannians are often described as speaking in indistinguishable grunts, I can only conclude that what tonal changes there are are very, very subtle.

But like I said, adding affixes to Tyrannian words wouldn't work out 'cause they don't have much of a vocabulary. You can only do that much with 'ugga'. ...actually I suspect that they only picked agglutinative languages for the sake of contrast x3 English isn't agglutinative, so in order to depict something exotic and foreign, they took that one. Mrawgh, Estonian is agglutinative (fusional, in fact) so thanks muchly to TNT for comparing us with cavemen xD Stop staring at us, people >> Buzzbuzz, you could try buying an Obsidian Dagger. They're only 1,000 NP and from what I've seen, surprisingly powerful. It's my second best weapon. Not that it shows much, frankly x.X;

Other then fighting the bug was there anything after that we're suppose to do? Pretty sure it's just fighting the bug now. Guess we'll have to wait until Monday and see if there's something new to do. *shrug*

Actually, I was sort of expecting one yesterday, since the last part wasn't particularly long or complex. xD Ah well. It gives everyone a bit of time to catch up with things so far.

Just to give ya'll an idea of how much I'm geeking out on these comics... You see, I've been having a heckofa time with spot blacks in my sequential class. I'm an animation major, I think in lineart. Sequential requires you to think in shapes of blacks for shadow. It requires a big chunk of twisting my thinking, y'see. I've especially been suffering since my style is far simpler and cartoony than the work of my peers. And then Neo drops this little jem here. I've considered my style as something in similarity to Neo's work, so seeing them so able to nail the spot blacks in their style gives me some hope and inspiration for my approach to comics. This is especially wonderful in my next assignment, where we'll be using color (previously we've been working solely in ink.) To illustrate the term "spot blacks," take a look at this image: All the colors have been removed, and you can see how much solid black's actually been used in each panel. Blacks help direct the eye and create interest and flow in a comic. And while eye direction isn't nearly as effective in Neo's comics as other traditional comics, it's still an inspiration to see how much black you can get into a cartoon-anthro comic. [/geeky art rant]

As all my artistic skills lie in music and acting, it's nice to see that there are people in this world who can draw, and know how to do it well.

Hey, geeky art rants are interesting. And useful. *squints* Isn't the whole point technically very very bold shading? Like with those old black-and-white comics where they had nothing but black and white to create a comic world, and they did it well *dug out her prehistoric The Phantom comics for reference* The Secret of Cape Cod = best comic evar :3 It all seems to be in converting all light colors to white and all dark colors to black. Looks like the art world got lazier in general when color was introduced. The less mediums you have, the more creative you have to be to achieve the same effect. I kinda miss those old comics x.x They had depth. *hugs the nostalgic plot comic*

More geeky art rant!! I just happened to know of a Hong Kong comic that actually focus on black-and-white inking and it uses a pen to detail out certain shading if necessory. See?(Note: Thankfully, there're subtitles so as you can understand what they're saying, if there're dialogue that is.)

But geeky art rants are fun and interesting. *loved reading it* I ought to experiment with blacks. Huntress is right about color making people lazy; I use color to disguise my inability to do decent black-and-white. x.x;; Well, that, and color is fun. Shading and such. (Actually, I should work on that too... and my lineart... sheesh, this is motivating me to look deeper into this stuff.) Good black and white comics are amazing. =3 Although I actually don't read comic books that much. ^^; Except Carl Barks's duck stories...
