So... wait. All the species in this plot are basically the newest ones introduced, huh? With the exeption of the Tonu....

Xweetok, Ogrin, Lutari, Gnorbu... Ah well, I guess they need their shot. But there have been some species waiting longer than they for a chance in the spotlight. ^^ *pokes poor Chombies*

The beginning is so Journey to the Center of the Earth. Yey Jules Verne! It reminds me of The Lost World too.... Man, I'm geeking out.

The art in this comic is so much <3 and I think I saw a thread recently in which someone said that Ogrins were so badly proportioned that turning them anthro could be a problem. Well here's the answer... Captain Whatshisname wears such bulky clothes that you really can't see much other than his head and hands >_>

I've always loved adventure-type stories with 1800s-ish characters. This plot makes me happy =)

I have lots to say, so, erm...

Another Shoyru in a speaking role, yay. ^^ I can wait patiently until one actually becomes the hero, though. They get enough glory as it is, being the most popular pet, and I heart these characters so far.

The art is incredible. There's a million layers of shading in those sunset panels.

xD These cameos are awesome. I suppose you could even argue that Lisha and the Yurble Forefitor make an appearance on the first page.

I guess now we know what a plot Jubjub would look like. *hugs*

Durn it. I was formulating a new story idea that follows this same basic genre, and the main characters were going to be a male yellow Lutari and a female blue Xweetok that looks suspiciously like Lilian (minus the hair and glasses). At least my Lutari character doesn't bear any resemblance to Roxton beyond the species and colour. As it stands though, I'm going to have to change a few things in order to make it original when I write it.

I believe it was a reference to a picture that involve dogs playing poker around the poker table, although I've no idea what that title was...
