Hannah and the Ice Caves plot

Well, I thought I'd start a thread featuring my favorite of all the plots.

Admittedly, it's been a long time since "Hannah and the Ice Caves" (sometimes called HATIC for short) was released.

Still, I thought the characters were entertaining and memorable. My personal favorites being Kanrik and Hannah. I love the comics by iriswind and other stories in the Neopian Times featuring HATIC characters.

I've played the game and read the neopedia articles, which got me really interested in the plot. But when I looked for the comics, I could never seem to locate them. I even asked around on the boards, but to no avail. I gave up until I checked this thread! Thanks again. ^_^

Hey, i remember you! You're the same "Cherryblossomjen" from the NeoDex, right? should be, as that Cherryblossomjen mentioned how she liked this plot as well. ;D

the characters do have a lot to offer, don't they? In a couple years, Armin won't be so small, and it would then be perfect for him and Hannah to work together again, and then suddenly have Masila exact her revenge in some way. i'm sure Neopets won't disappoint.

from my understanding, the plot made many users feel conflicted, as it was the guild who faced off against the "main villain" first, and not Hannah. It even affected me too, making me wonder if i chose the wrong side, that because of what i chose, i couldn't defeat the greater evil. it all worked out in the end, but for a second it had me bothered.

Good to see you, Jacob. Thanks for reminding me about the Neodex. It's a great resource and fun to browse.

I tend to be a plot reader and not a player. But the comments you made about players feeling conflicted make a lot of sense.

There's also speculation that it was Hannah and Kanric that were about to get married at the wedding that Garin and his crew raided in Chapter 2 of Curse of Maraqua.

i'm sure it's a little easter egg that will be bothering users for many years until they bring the characters back for another plot. With a theives guild always hidden in the sidelines and stealing from us, you would THINK they would make another plot. and the writers of the plot are probably still smiling at us baffled users over this subtle showing of "them" getting married. they know for sure what the truth is, but they aren't saying. clever.

Check Chapter 2, page 3 in Curse of Maraqua. One of the treasures they have in that middle panel has that symbol that Hannah had on her arm in the Ice Caves plot
