Man, I'm surprised there isn't already a thread for this. There's a Super Smash Bros. club which is pretty popular, but no Mario club, and no Zelda club... o__O
Anyway, there is one now, for discussion on all the LOZ games, and new releases (I think there's one coming up soon, no?) If you want to join, please just PM me or post here, and I'll put you down.
Enjoy!

Ah yes, the Zelda series. Cool tools (e.g. inventory items), awesome stories, and good music to boot! *starts humming the Clocktown music from Majora's Mask* Count me in!

Woah, never realized this thread, I wanna join too. Say, if you've being playing Zelda games, which of the games you've played so far do you think is the best listing from best top to not so best bottom. I'll start: - Ocarina of Time
- A Link to the Past
- Oracle series
- Link's Awakening
- Majora's Mask
What about you?

Ooh, I'm definitely joining this one. Ah yes, the Zelda series. Cool tools (e.g. inventory items), awesome stories, and good music to boot! *starts humming the Clocktown music from Majora's Mask* Count me in! CLOCKTOWN! I can't tell you how much time I wasted just running around there. Lesse, which games do I like...well, all of them that I've played. I really can't choose a favorite game. OoT: Not a whole lot to say here, as plenty of people over the years have already said so much about it. OoT was the first Zelda game I ever played. Unlike most people, I actually preferred Majora's Mask to OoT. Sure, the game was probably shorter and left a lot unexplained. But the whole thing had a sort of wonderland-ish feel to it. I mean, think about how the game starts--you chase a mysterious little imp and fall down a hole! The 3-day system was actually really interesting. Repeating the same 3 days over and over meant that MM could fit in many more overlapping plotlines than OoT could. The transformations were a kick. I loved rolling around Termina Field as Goron link. Some of the secondary characters--Anju, Kafei, Romani, etc.--were much more interesting than in OoT as well. And, can't forget this: MM still has my favorite Zelda dungeon ever, the Stone Tower. I mean, you run through it once, flip it upside down, and run through it again! In my opinion, the best idea for a dungeon I've ever seen. I love the Oracle games as well. I've played through both of them three times, and I'm working on a fourth. Of the two, I think Ages was definitely better. More leading characters, more interesting map, and Ages actually had a plotline. In terms of items, they're just about equal. For most games, you play them through once and they just aren't as good the next times. But for some reason, no matter how many times I play through the Oracle games, I never seem to get tired of them. Link to the Past...I've only played the GBA version, but really liked it. It wasn't quite as polished as the Oracle games--it seemed like they tried to fit a bit too much stuff in. But it is possibly the longest of the Zelda games that I've played, including the 3D ones. Wind Waker: The biggest divergence from the classic Zelda style that I've ever seen. Probably for that reason, I didn't like it as much as the other 3D ones. The best part of this game was just getting in that boat and exploring. I was very glad to have a completely free camera for this one. Twilight Princess: All right, I don't have a Wii, so I got the Gamecube version. Still, amazing. I was in awe of the graphics. And the size of Hyrule! I mean, not counting the fact that there must have been some major tectonic activity between OoT and TP that made it grow fivefold and rearrange all the surrounding lands, the overworld was incredible. The bosses were visually impressive, but a lot of them were too repetitive. I actually preferred some of the mini-boss fights to the actual bosses. But the final battle with Gannie more than made up for that... This one had more of an overarching plotline than any of the others. And Midna...best. Zelda. Character. Ever.

Say, if you've being playing Zelda games, which of the games you've played so far do you think is the best listing from best top to not so best bottom. Hm. Well... - Wind Waker - Link's Awakening - Twilight Princess - Ocarina of Time - The Minish Cap - Oracle of Ages - Oracle of Seasons - Four Swords Adventures Um, yeah. I'll say why when I have more time. ^^; I haven't gotten far enough in A Link to the Past to decide where to put it on this list. So... who thinks Phantom Hourglass looks awesome? (Apparently it sold more copies in Japan than Twilight Princess.)

...I don't really know which Zelda games I like best. Well, the only one I've completed so far is Wind Waker. >_>; All the other's I've played (uh... OoT, Majora's Mask, Twilight Princess... um, Link to the Past, Oracle of... I think it was Seasons, Link's Awakening, Four Swords... and a little of the original two. I think that's it) are awesome, and I can't really pick favorites.

JOINJOINJOIN ;D *is currently on Zelda high*
I've been wondering why this club wasn't made earlier, too...
My top three favorite games (in order):
Wind Waker Not only was it the first Zelda game I really played instead of just watching my dad play, but the art alone makes me want to go through it over and over and just stare at the scenery. I also liked how easy it was to relate to Link in this one. He seemed like a real little boy with all his expressions.
Ocarina of Time My first Zelda game, though I barely actually played it as a kid; I made my dad beat most of it for me. I still can't help but love it... the ocarina tunes, the characters, the environment. *is going through again on VC*
Legend of Zelda Exploration at an all-time high here. I loved discovering secrets and making my own maps. Plus, there was a real sense of danger in the combat. My death count was embarrassing. >> (It's still counting, too... I haven't beaten it yet. *playing on VC* Nobody give away hints, I'm trying to get through it without cheating! I already accidentally found out how to get into dungeon 7 prematurely by reading an unrelated Zelda article on the Internet...)
I haven't played Majora's Mask and am chafing in anticipation of the inevitable VC release. Everything I hear about it makes me think I'll love it, quite possibly even more than the others.
I also really want to play Link's Awakening and the Oracles. Maybe I'll get them off Ebay for Christmas or something.
Twilight Princess doesn't make it onto my favorites list. I had a lot of fun with it, but there was something about it that didn't quite feel like Zelda to me. Midna's pretty awesome, though. --- In other news, hype for Phantom Hourglass is killing me. Handheld + Wind Waker sequel = most anticipated game of the year for Nut. I'd be excited even if every gaming site I frequent hadn't decided to go raving about how great it is. Eleven more days! *dies*
*ducks back into shadows to hide from Phantom Hourglass spoilers*

Top favorites... Wow, hard to pick. Hmm... Here's a rough order, though I can't quite choose definitively. Ocarina of Time Majora's Mask Twilight Princess Wind Waker Link to the Past (I haven't played the GBA version, but I have played the SNES one. ALMOST finished!) Minish Cap Link's awakening (got close to the end) Oracle of Seasons I haven't gotten far enough into to really judge. I'm about... halfway through, I'm guessing. Thing is, I lost my GBC for awhile (with OoS in it) and now that I've found it, I don't remember what I was supposed to do next. :/ Four Swords Adventures feels like it's a little lacking in storyline. Also, the fact that you go through levels to complete the game didn't help. I generally prefer games where you can explore, do side quests, and discover things. Has a lot of fun features, though. (Multiplayer! ) I haven't gotten very far in LoZ2. It certainly is... different. I really like that dungeon music though. You, know, the tune that also made it into Super Smash Brothers Melee. Phantom Hourglass does look like fun. I've been reading a few things about it in Nintendo Power, and I like how its going to have a lot of little features that take advantage of the DS. Like how you have to yell into the microphone to stun enemies, that one sounds like its going to be a lot of fun. And also physically closing your DS to 'stamp' info onto your map is an interesting tidbit. And this one isn't DS-feature specific, but tightrope-walking on your Grappling Hook? YEAH! Oh, and a couple of my favorite Midi remixes of the N64 music: (Edit: Turns out, VGMusic doesn't like it when you open their music from an offsite link, so copy-paste the URL into your browser if you want to listen) Clocktown (Clock tower remix): www.vgmusic.com/music/console/nintendo/n64/Clocktown-.midEpona's Song (Melody remix): www.vgmusic.com/music/console/nintendo/n64/lzepona2.mid Epona, Epona soba ni oide...I'm not sure how the rest is sung... seems like the lyrics have more syllables than the tune has notes.

Zant is really Ganondorf? Well, that's a genuine surprise. The King of Twilight seemed kinda slim, and Ganon's all pudgy. Maybe he wasn't able to access any fatty pies in the Twilight realm.

... Puff. I have no idea what you're talking about but I think that last post warrants a spoiler tag XD
As for me, I'll join. X3 As you can see my complete TP ignorance, I haven't played many of the more recent games (the most recent one was Windwaker, and that was just me playing it at Rain's house once) but I'm still a Zelda fan. <3 <3 Favorite Zelda game of all time was Ocarina. ^_^ Although the Oracles were a lot of fun too.

Actually, that's completely not true. I'm not sure how far you've gotten in the game, but what it actually is is... ...Zant wanted power, and Ganondorf found him and granted him the power to overthrow Midna.

Random thought: Why on earth is it called "The Legend of Zelda"? Shouldn't it be "The Legend of Link"? I mean, Zelda just gets into various situations and waits to be rescued. She rarely does anything.
It's like calling Super Mario "The Guy Who Rescues Peach".
Sorry for my insane ramblings xD
