I really REALLY hate the event DIY. I just can't get them. I hunt down the balloons and usually just get repeat old diys. Usually ones no one wants (Wooden Stakes for example). I might time travel back to try and get more, but I know it's probably won't happen -_-

Here's what I have: Dinosaur Toy - Red Dollhouse - Pink Kids' Tent - Pink Mini Circuit - Black & silver Pop-Up Book - Savannah Puppy Plushie - Spotted RC Helicopter - Yellow Tin Robot - Black Set of Stockings - Cool I'm also open to trading around and such to complete my catalogue. 
Oh, and I have waaayyy too many black, orange, and purple roses, pink and black tulips, and pink and blue windflowers. Let me know if you want any! |

After Toy Day, I have a few more variations of Toy Day gear. I'll update the list tomorrow. Then we can figure out how to do a exchange/pickup and drop to try and gather all the different things.
In other news, got Marina on my island now. I have the Octopus Trio now XD

Yeah, I got some new colors too, I didn't know villagers would give you alternate colors of the toys.
I have to see which ones it is though.

I watched a video before getting on AC to see what to do for Toy Day.
Villagers will sometimes give you back a gift for delivering their Toy Day gift.
After delivering, you can wrap random stuff (anything, like a stick), and talk to all your villagers for a gift exchange.
So if you have a full village, you can get 10+ random Toy Day gifts. Like for me, I got 9 new colors, and a couple repeats.
Also, late now, but if you hang the stockings Jingle give you, on the 25th there will be a gift for you.

If it helps at all, I saw a comment elsewhere that's helped me build snowmen better, and I've been getting them perfect more often then not since. Basically, you want the bottom snowball to go up to your character's ears, and the top to be up to their chin.
Also, back on the subject of Toy Day, was anyone else kind of disappointed with how New Horizons does it compared to New Leaf? In New Leaf, I really liked having to piece together the clues my villagers gave to figure out what to give them. So it's kind of unexciting for the gifts you give them from the magic bag to all be the same. Giving them your own gifts afterwards just doesn't feel the same, either.
Plus, I can't believe New Horizons missed the big and obvious opportunity to have us play as Santa's elves for a day and have us craft the toys ourselves, considering that we can do that now...
