Haha, sorry about that. His house is indeed pretty ugly. >.> One of these days I'll stop in your town and say hi to him, and see what he's got to say. :3 Also! I made a varsity jacket, and now I share it with ya'll. :3 I'm going to be sooo stoked to share QR designs, once I get the time to make more.

So apparently even if it's raining out, your flowers need watering. What. xD

Can I just say I LOVE how much customizing and *sharing* you can do in this game? I mean, of all the series, this one is the most sharable. You can show off pretty much anything you can design to complete strangers, where previous games you could only share with a few friends. Now I'm looking in the rooms of people I passed on the street, I'm visiting towns of people in other countries (theoretically, since I haven't gotten the Dream worlds to play nice with my wifi), and I'm filling my closets with clothes made by random strangers on the internet. <3 And all this, topped with the SUPER ease of sharing screenshots.
*is spending WAY too much time with this game*

Finally got my gardening store. 8D And my accessory shop has so many pretty hats today but buying them would mean not wearing my awesome viking hat. >__> Why can't I be a viking frog!? xD Or a detective viking?
Also, I really want an upstairs to my house, but the past two days Nook's had exterior changes that I also wanted, and since those change everyday, I jumped on 'em, thus delaying my upstairs. I hope tomorrow he has nothing I like so that I can get a second level already.

The increased customization aspect of this is making it really tempting to me, even though I'm trying to talk myself out of it because I always had a hard time getting into City Folk and don't want to get another game that I'll be briefly addicted to and then ignore in the long term. But watching all the custom designs pop up on the internet, combined with the fact that clothing is now unisex, is making this seem really appealing. xD Maybe if it goes down in price one day, but in the meantime I'm really enjoying seeing all the clothing designs people are posting. You know the customization/sharing is good when even people who don't have the game like seeing what others are doing with it. xD

Something about it just didn't really click with me; I abandoned it fairly quick. I think part of the issue was that the whole City thing got very old, very fast. And that the Wii kind of sucked for playing Animal Crossing in a way, with the cumbersome nunchuck and the like. I played the original Animal Crossing for at least a year or two but probably abandoned City Folk after no more than a month? But in every way that City Folk failed, I'm enjoying New Leaf. It just has SO much novel going for it: the customization, the easy travel between towns, the island. And the 3DS is so much better of a medium for AC than I think the Wii was (and that's coming from someone who generally dislikes handhelds xD). My very quick abandonment of City Folk halfway dissuaded me from getting it, but I'm glad I gave it a shot. It's so much more engaging than City Folk in every way.

I'm really happy to hear that I wasn't the only one who had trouble with City Folk. I agree that the City got old (especially with the tedious travel time), and the grass wear made me want to not even move around my town. I've been getting the impression that New Leaf dramatically improves on everything in all the ways you've said, but it's nice to hear confirmation of that from someone else who had difficulty with City Folk. How are the loading times when you travel to different places or enter/exit buildings? It was a small thing I guess but I would avoid doing things in City Folk sometimes just because I didn't want to watch that little bus in the corner of the screen for a few seconds. It's really a shame about City Folk because it was my first AC, even though I'd wanted to play it since I heard about the GC version as a kid. I thought the series might not be for me because of my experience with it, but New Leaf sounds like everything that made me interested in it in the first place.

Not unreasonable, but it can get annoying if you have people in town and it comes up right after someone says something, and so you miss it. A chat log would be nice, if it's not there and I just haven't discovered it yet.

It gets worse if you have numerous visitors in your town but has never been enough to frustrate me in the way it did in City Folk. I also agree that the chat could be improved... you will miss things sometimes if you say, go into a shop right when your visit is talking. EDIT - D'awww, Happy Room Academy apparently says my pet shark is worth no points. HOW DARE THEY. CHOMPERS IS BEAUTIFUL. Also, I set my town song to an iteration of The Imperial March. It vastly amuses me every time it plays. 8D

Bah. Of course, it's a couple days after I set my ordinance to Bell Boom instead of Night Owl (because I need to get up earlier in the mornings), and the day I forget to play Animal Crossing right away (even being at home for 5 hours already) and miss Shampoodle, the day it opens, by only a few minutes, because it closes at 8.

Aw, that's annoying. xD; I have a nocturnal schedule during summer so I'll keep night owl until school starts, at least. Though 'beautiful town' is tempting. >__>
... question. Which expansion is basement? I want to start my shark pit already. XD;

Just note, if you want to make your house into an Edo castle or Medieval castle, you'll need a left and a right room.

*somehow did not notice this place*
Where have I been since forever ago. 8I
Come visit the town of...Butts! XD (Although, I tend to visit others more often than others visiting me. Due to my rather random internet connection.) My friend code: 2964-9931-6418 (if you do add me to your friends list tell me please so I can add you back.)

Like, torrential downpour compared to usual. That's odd. And, Super T&T opened up and I got a Hero's Cap (i.e. Link hat) from a fortune cookie! Cool. I thought it was Twiggy's birthday today because I got a letter in the mail, but apparently it's not until next week. Which means just enough time to forget. -_-; And I got to use Shampoodle and COASTER FINALLY HAS GREEN HAIR (except when he's wearing the Link hat). Yessss.
