SO I was at this awesome science fiction and fantasy convention this weekend (I know, I am such a geek) and there were all these people cosplaying... and there was someone... who was cosplaying... as THE CREATURE IN THE DARKNESS. (Or whatever its official name is, I can't remember, but you get the idea.)
It was a sweet costume. My friend got a picture of it on her cell phone but I have no clue how to get that on the computer or anything, so...
...but yeah. XD That was one of the coolest costumes there in my opinion.

Heh. The week before last, I read the entire OOTS archives. Mostly during tutoring when no one needed any help.
Me? Insane? Yeah, probably.
So, does this make me a fan, or am I still uninitiated or something?
And yeah, I admit it--I've never played D&D. I've gleaned some small amount about it; that just comes with wandering 'round the net while bored. And I've been able to glean some more from reading the comic.

YES!! Vaarsuvius is back! *changed location* You know, I kinda expected them to sneak away from danger with the invisibility, but I wasn't expecting them to get on the boat. And the little team up at the end was so... cool and funny at the same time. BOO YEAH! I was going to change avatars, but I think I'll stick with this one for awhile longer now.

I just read through the guest strips. They are purely awesome in every way. I like seeing all the different styles.

Yeah, those are good. Some are funnier than others. But then again, some of the 'others' weren't really meant to be funny, just fanart-y. A lot of the fanart works were cool, though.

Yeah, I found that mostly out of wanting to read the next comic. There's some other cool stuffs you can look at too. There's this character info thing, and then all the stuff on this page. Seriously, some of that fanart is amazing.

Just though I'd let those of you who didn't notice know that OOTS is back after its hiatus. And boy was the first comic they did after the hiatus funny.

*Shifty eyes* *Resurrects*
All right, 496 was one of the saddest, most hearwarming things I've ever seen. I think we just learned a whole lot about what made Roy...Roy.

Jokes are fine and dandy, but I like it when I get to read something sweet, that makes me go 'aww...!' as well. Well I didn't see that coming. I'm guessing we're going to learn Elan's last name soon? (and Haley's new one) But if so, then I wonder how Haley got back to the others? Okay, I'm wondering... Since Haley has the Greenhilt sword right now, then can Roy (or his dad) appear to Haley, or does the sword have to be in possession of a Greenhilt for that to work? It really didn't say in the comic, and I don't think something like this is mentioned in the D&D rules. Nor does it quite fit the description of the Ancestral Weapon mentioned on the site. I'm guessing we'll find out soon.

But then again, I guess we shouldn't be too surprised--I mean, after all, we knew something big was gonna happen for the 500th issue. As for the sword--dunno. I'm guessing he probably wouldn't be able to contact Haley that way, unfortunately.
Also, "You will stand there and watch as I scry for you and you will like it, because I am your father!" is a fantastic line. On another note, not really related to 500 in any spoileriffic way, I have to say how much I like Durkon as a character. I mean, he seems to be the least appreciated member of the Order of the Stick, but he's such a stabilizing force. It seems like he's the one people go to for help, but there's a lot we don't really know about him. He hasn't gotten any story arc to himself since the thing way back around 100.

I'm guessing we'll find out soon. Technically Roy's dad couldn't scry on Haley and the gang unless she or the others have something he's familiar with. I'll assume it's the Greenhilt sword
And what a plot twist! Love the little reverse psychology joke with Roy and his dad. And I hope Roy's Archon stays with him as a sidekick xD And daww, ElanxHaley ^__^ (At least I hope so x3)
On a side note, 3 months at sea is a little excessive considering how many refugees and supplies they have xD

I'm still getting over the fact that Roy's been dead for so long. I think I was as shocked as him. XD
But I'm glad we're finally seeing something about the others! I was really wondering what happened to them and when we'd see them again.

Hehe! When I got to the end of 498, I immediately thought of that feeling you get when you realize you overslept because your alarm didn't go off, and because of that you missed several hours of school. Except, that multiplied by one thousand.
