From what I've seen (11 episodes = what I've seen) Ouran Host Club is about a group of flirtatious teens in a prestigious private school (In Japan, no less!) experiencing life. Rather large emphasis on the flirtatious bit. The Ouran Host Club of Ouran Academy's sole purpose is to bring 'fortune' to girls. This is achieved through a...manner of methods. And so help me if I forget what these characters are like fifty years from now. The twins, Hikaru and Kaoru (..I didn't say 'so help me if I can spell their names') are constantly up to trouble. Kyouya (*SQUEE*) is the brains of the club. Honey is the adorable 'baby' of the group, who somehow happens to be a senior. Tamaki is the 'king' of the club, and...adjectives fail me. Then there's Honey's bodyguard/servant, who's name escapes me at the moment. VERDICT: 8.5/10 It's a fun show, and a good way to counterbalance the more dramatic shows, like Escaflowne and FMA (Though no one knows what Escaflowne is >>). Ooo, a real review. =D Thanks for the review. =D Sounds pretty good, I'll have to take time to watch it on youtube. I know what Escaflowne is! My favourite character was Merle. X3 Oh, and to stay on ya'lls current topic, Ouran Host Club is an okay show. Kinda' overly fangirl-pleasing-shonen-ai for me, but it's fun. If you watch it, though, you gotta then go and watch some sort of gory bloody action anime, lest your eyes rot from the inside out from too much sugar. shounen-ai? ! Yaaaaay X3 I already watch a lot of animes with action and violence....FMA, InuYasha, Naruto, Euerka Seven, Witch Hunter Robin...(okay, not that last one, 'cause YTV stopped showing it ) XD

AY-OO-REE-KAAAAAAAAAA SEVEN!"

I don't think it's dropping too many spoilers to give brief details.
Two of the characters have been very close since childhood. There's a persistent rumour among the rich girls of the Ouran High School that they might have... let's say, more than a friendly affection for one another. Of course, since this attracts customers, this is a rumour that the two of them do everything in their power to strengthen-- holding hands, making suggestive comments and gazing into one another's eyes. We've been watching the series at ANIMEsoc for about sixteen episodes-ish now, and there's nothing conclusive about the reality or otherwise of this relationship so far.
*
In other news, Haruhi/Tamaki at the moment. I realise I haven't seen the whole series, but I imagine he is pretty much a constant. (Unlike Honey-sempai, whom I have really rather gone off at the moment.)

You got me watching Trigun now ^^ I love it! A cool series, Trigun. It was one of the more prominent tear-jerkers (But chocolate helped the tears along). Ghost in the Shell came in the mail today. I'm hoping to introduce my dad to anime BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE (i.e. Retirement home). I'll have to think of a time the little kids are out of the house to watch it. The English voice actors for Eureka Seven aren't terrible. They aren't stellar (...Woz...? 'Zat you...?), but it's bearable. BEAR LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL.

So if any of ya are reading Naruto manga, you know how I've been feeling. (manga 345). Pretty intense fight, so I found a site that gave out spoilers and.. I have to say, I'm very much relieved.
I'd post it here but I think people might try to assassinate me for doing so. ^^;

I keep misreading "Kyouya" as "Kyoya"
Kyoya was a character in a video game called "Siren" XD

You're going to introduce your dad to anime with GHOST IN THE SHELL? ...XDXDXDXDXD Well, Ouran Host Club wasn't the best choice. And anything that doesn't have at least a handful of guns and swearing in it doesn't interest him. So, Ghost in the Shell. ._.

Nah, don't worry, I read your post wrong xD I thought he didn't like the guns and swearing... My books have finally arrived at Waterstones! After 2 weeks of waiting and then going to the mall to get some school torusers, I popped in and asked them about it, they said the order didn't go through so I had to re-order and they have arrived! Ghost Hunt Volume 2 and Fruits Basket Volume 4! They never understand what I say when I say Fruits Basket... *shurg* Only the one assistance guy did. EDIT: I just got Episode 1-4 of FMA and I LOVE Al's English voice!! *squee* It is so young and familiar! I don't know where I have hear it before though...

[shadow=purple,left,300]Aaron Dismuke. ^_^ I think he also did some voice work in the English-dubbed Fruits Basket. I guess it's because Aaron was around 11-12 when he started dubbing for FMA, so he really got into character as the younger Elric brother. Although it's so strange to see that the age gap between him and the voice actor for Ed is really wide, as Vic Mignogna is already in his forties and still does a good job voicing a 15-year-old boy.[/shadow]
