I am so making that my wallpaper too. ^_^ Words can't describe how I feel now that a series that catapulted me into the world of animanga in the first place is over. I'll find new manga to read and anime to follow (once Brotherhood is finished, since only a few episodes remain now), but I don't think I'll find anything to replace FMA, or anything like it. It's a very beautiful series that I want to recommend to everyone, and...it's not like other shounen manga that go on and on and on without actual plot developments. For now I'm going to revel in the moment, and perhaps later on write my own ramble. ^_^ I love you, FMA. Always, and forever. Now I'm going to save enough money to collect all the manga volumes. By the way, I want this. Really badly. That chess set looks fun xD It's not as cool and slick as most chess sets are, but this has a Edward feel to it XD FMA wasn't my first anime, no way. But it was one of the best series I got to watch. I remember watching the first episode. I turned off the lights in my room like a theater, hand a snack and soda, and sat back an watched it ^^ Then my mom ruined it because she needed to get in the closet and turned on the light >.> Made a comment about the ingredients in a human body, then left my room. But yeah. I really need to catch up on Brotherhood XD I'm about 10 episodes behind

I'm about three episodes behind, but ah well.
FMA's...ended now. Wow. I'm still kinda in shock, waiting for the next chapter. XD Guess it's time to move on to new series, but this one's always going to remain one of my favorites. I really do like how the ending turned out...(although, Greed. ;_;)
I think Reve covered about everything I wanted to say, but...yeah. ^^ Awesome series, gotta love Arakawa.

I didn't go to Anime Expo on Sunday sadly, so I couldn't find out any inside info xD; A movie could be interesting though... If anything they might just do a directors cut thingy of the final couple of episodes stuck together. While there I saw a version of Ulquiorra VS Ichigo (Bleach) directors cut that lasted over a hour long. So they could be doing that >.>

Awww, I hope it's not just a director's cut. D: I'm crossing my fingers for new material. Like, an epilogue/ WHERE ARE THEY NOW type of thing. I want my Royai makeout scene. *brick'd*

A Epilogue would be a lot better then a director's cut of the final battle. Or at least continue the story from where it leaves off and show some of their traveling. Or have something happen during the travels that forces them to get together quickly again. Of course there is the problem of a Ed with no alchemy

Ed still has his fighting prowess, though. =D ... if he gets his alchemy back for some inexplicable reason I will be very I'd really really like to see Alphonse's adventures in Xing and the reconstruction of Ishval from Scar/Miles and Mustang-tachi' point of view. ^___^

As for the point of views of everyone. I can see it doing that, then going to Ed doing things completly normal and boring, then back to them XD

Hello! Found this tread and decided to join. n__n
I've seen most of the original series of FMA (I have about 5 episodes and a movie to go) and I've seen most of what's out in Brotherhood so far (English dubbed). I'm slowly trying to read the manga. XD
So... yeah. I'll try to keep up with the conversation as best as I can. ^^

The only thing I'm "disappointed" about is the lack of closure for Mustang-tachi compared to all the other characters. (Or to be more specific: the lack of closure for Royai. Because I am a compulsive shipper and I have never shipped anything so hard before and although I wasn't expecting much, I was hoping for something a little more concrete. But whatever. They're still canon in my head. xD)
</3 It's over. *finally got around to reading it after about a month >>; * I had to read it right from the start because I haven't read FMA since around chapter 55. but I agree ;___; I was totally a shipper. And I'm sure they're canon, just not... quite as canon as the canon ship. When Hawkeye almost died Mustang was all NOOO HISS HISS MINE and I was all awww! which was probably a rather bad reaction for that scene, all things considered.

Chess set: I think it's hilarious that Armstrong's chess piece is naked. xDDDDDDDDDDDd

<3 FMAAAAAA
I loved the first anime series. :3 I thought it was fantastic. Pretty dark in places, and quite deep.
I tried Brotherhood but... it was too much like the original anime series, I didn't want to wade through all those episodes that I felt like I'd already seen. xD;;

Brotherhood actually doesn't recap as much as I thought it would, which has both its cons and pros (I was honestly looking forward to seeing Yoki humiliated again, but oh well. First anime version of that was enough. XD) I mean, the first anime made quite a few small changes early even before the major deviation, so it might be worth going over it again. But if you already know it, skip to the episode where new stuff comes in. Though personally, I watched the anime even while I was following the manga. Because voices were awesome. And battle scenes, animated and in color, were even better. I do like the first anime, but I like the manga/Brotherhood a lot better...XD Maybe it's just me.

I love the manga/Brotherhood, but that doesn't mean that I've stopped watching the first anime altogether. And, having the voices and colors adds to the epicness. XD
