I have to say, I am extremely satisfied with the way it ended. (Bittersweet 'no i don't want this to end just yet' feeling and all. It hit all the right notes for me.)

I love the Truth scenes.
But what did "Father" mean when he said "I don't want to go back." re: the Gate? He came from that originally or what?
(anyone else notice the Gate was blank for him? I thought that was pretty cool.
Ling offering the Philosopher's Stone to Ed... and him refusing because of what he and Al promised really hit me, because when you go back to the beginning of the series that's what they were searching for all along and it's just... yeah. <3
And the scene with Hohenheima and Ed.

And then he drew the human transmutation circle and I was like what.
And he gives up alchemy - one of the things that makes Ed ED - in order to get Al's body back. That was just ______.

And Ed replies "Even without alchemy, I have my friends."
And then Truth smiles and it is not his creepy cheshire cat grin but a normal smile and

I love how Al is traveling East and Ed is traveling West.
It sort of reminds me of the Sage of the East, Sage of the West thing Hohenheim and Father had going on, except instead of teaching different theories they're trying to bring them together.

The only thing I'm "disappointed" about is the lack of closure for Mustang-tachi compared to all the other characters. (Or to be more specific: the lack of closure for Royai. Because I am a compulsive shipper and I have never shipped anything so hard before and although I wasn't expecting much, I was hoping for something a little more concrete. But whatever. They're still canon in my head. xD)
