F.Y.I, if you can't catch the finale tonight like me, it's on tomorrow at 11 A.M. Easter time. Meaning you don't have to make a choice between Avatar and another show!

Yeah, Doctor Who was mainly what I was thinking of; I don't watch it myself, but my parents do so I always have to wait until the next day to watch new episodes of Avatar. (They almost always show again the following morning, usually at 11:30, but this time it's 11, I guess because it's an hour long.)

You could've recorded it. Although it's been so long since I bought Tivo that I have forgotten how hard it is to tape something...

The whole season finale is up on Turbonick, at least for US people (click on Buzz, then the Aang icon- The Guru and The Crossroads of Destiny are the first two episodes there). The versions of questionable legality will probably not be long in coming, for those who aren't. And now, for the spoilers: You know, it's really amazing how many things I'd figured out before they actually aired. I was almost certain that Toph would teach herself metalbending, due to someone accidentally leaking the knowledge that metalbending is possible at the most recent event at which the Avatar staff appeared and the LiveJournal posts resulting from that (one person said they wouldn't reveal it because it would be major spoilers, the other posted them as if they weren't really spoilers, and putting two and two together wasn't too hard). I was pretty convinced that Aang would almost get himself killed, particularly after the 'Previously' segment (though the method in which it happened was rather shocking *brick'd thoroughly*). It was kind of a deja vu thing at some points. XD
On the other hand, Zuko's apparent treachery was completely out of left field. And, yes, I say apparent, because otherwise, Iroh's reappearance in the fight to help Aang and Katara escape, then let himself be captured, would be a major plothole. Who else in that cave would free him? And why would they do it off-camera?
Besides, if this line of Iroh's isn't foreshadowing...
And if there's anyone in a dark tunnel in which he can't see the light, it's Zuko. And I really hope that he does come to the better place, sooner rather than later.
*hopes beyond hope that she's right*

Well I managed to watch it, even though I missed the last few episodes... Plus I missed a little bit of the start, I'll have to make sure and re-watch it in the afternoon (it's currently passed 12 for me, and Avatar is also showing at Noon for me ) But anyways, I wasn't expecting what Zuko did. I kept thinking that during the battle he would switch sides again and begin to help, but that didn't seem to be the case. And about the Metalbending, yeah, I didn't know it was that Since I started watching the moment Toph broke free and made her "run" for it. That was cool. I did see when she broke the metal door open in the prison though. Anyways, I have to re-watch later like I said, so yeah.

What I meant in my last post was that we were totally not expecting Zuko ending up right back where he started (Oh, and his hair is now officially TOO LONG XD). I didn't expect Toph and metalbending either, but I figured she would escape somehow. I didn't even know the cage was made of metal. Now how is Aang supposed to learn firebending?! The general consensus was sort of that Zuko would turn completely good and teach him >_< I suppose Iroh still could, but didn't they leave him in the palace? o-0
There are a lot of characters running about at this point... I think someone else is going to get killed off soon, but that's just me...

...Wow. I yelled "NOOOOO!" at the end of the episode, and yet it was still possibly the best one so far. But at the same time, I do think that Zuko's gonna get redeemed. Eventually. I hope so... Heh, I honestly thought that Aang and Katara might kiss after he was healed. But I guess that just ain't gonna happen 'till the end of the series... Oh yeah, and firebreathing Iroh rocks!

Oh yeah, a few things I forgot to mention; It seems that Zutara is non-existant afterall, a fact which I'm glad of, especially in this particular episode in which Kataang is stronger than ever. I suppose I would rather see Aang/Katara at this point... I actually thought in an earlier episode (I think The Drill) "Why can't earthbenders bend metal? Iron ore is just earth afterall..." Turns out that the storyline writers actually did think of that. In Zuko Alone, Zuko chanted to himself "Azula always lies... Azula always lies..." He should really heed his own words at this point. After a lot of thinking, I believe that Zuko will eventually come back to the light; I sensed that he had a fair amount of regret and uncertainty at the end of the episode. EDIT: Did anyone else get the feeling that that lightning bolt went right through Aang? That's just what it looked like to me, after thinking about it... If so, Avatar's getting more violent. Funny how they're allowed to burn but not bleed...
