The easiest way to resurrect Airbending, the way I see it, would be for Aang to have children (Aang/Kitara, anyone? ). This is since I'd imagine your bloodline must have had some people with the appropriate bending skill for you to be able to have the ability at birth. The other way would be Aang teaching someone else- considering it's difficult for anyone but the Avatar to learn a different bending skill but their own, and since Aang would theoratically be dead by the time the next Avatar is born, there wouldn't be much hope there. Alternatively, for those who managed to look at the TCG, there just might be a second Airbender left (the Ghost Witch). If she's still alive when the next Avatar is ready, she might be able to pass on the skill. Likewise, I can't see Iroh living till the end. I'm expecting for them to have Zuko join the main gang, and he won't likely do so unless Iroh's dead, or the latter's defected back to the Fire Nation (which is highly unprobable) and he needs to stop him. Then again, with five people they'll probably remove someone to reduce the size (I'm guessing Sokka myself). Unless, in some kind of extremely freaky plot twist, Azula becomes a good girl (...right). The way I see it, they'll probably have to speed up the progression a little to wrap up the whole thing in three seasons- Aang still needs to master Earth/Waterbending, and he's barely begun on Fire. And, if they're planning on making detours back to Omashu or the North Pole (the former would probably be to rescue Bumi), that'd take time too. I'm expecting the second finale to be either a siege on Ba Sing Se, or something to do with it (that would unveil the seriousness of the war to everybody). Come to think of it, it's amazing Ba Sing Se has kept the war under wraps for about 100 years. You'd think word'd have leaked out by now. And Ikkin, count yourself lucky- we've barely begun the second season here. ...I doubt Nick is going to let Aang and Katara have kids. >.> And, even then, the resulting Airbenders would probably end up highly inbred. XD I like the idea of some remaining Air Nomads in hiding better... Aang is the last Airbender because none of the surviving Air Nomads were able to get trained, and the genes would still be there. I don't see Iroh's surviving as an impossibility; he just seems to be one of the characters who is most likely to be killed off. I'd love to see him helping Zuko become a good Fire Lord, personally. He'd never defect, though, and Azula turning good has even lower chances than that. XD I think some of that 'speeding up' happens in Season Two, myself. In the Ba Sing Se eps, Aang shows that he's improved a lot in Earthbending, and I imagine he's made similar progress with his Waterbending. A detour to Omashu seems almost inevitable, though it wouldn't be too far out of their way if they were going towards the Fire Nation. Probably an early season three thing. They haven't really kept it under wraps; they just disappear and brainwash anyone who says anything about it. That's what Youtube is for...I don't think they meant them having kids, like, during the actual show, but afterwards, when they're adults. Or even, at the end of the show, show a brief glimpse into their adulthood and show that they do have kids. I'm sure Nick would allow adults having kids; in fact, they already did with The Serpent's Pass.

XD It would pretty much be saying 'and they all lived happily ever after', especially since it implies that nothing interesting happens until that point. And I'm not sure Nick would like the fact that it would be impossible to continue with the characters. ...yeah, that's what I meant... >.> *wasn't really making herself clear*

The whole series has been building up to that, from the very first episode. The limited-ness of the show was also one main reason I thought they might make spin-off series in the future about future Avatars. Like Avatar: Quest for the Spear, or Avatar: The Next Generation, or Avatar: Deep Space Nine. Oh no, Avatar: Battlestar Galactica would be perfect. EDIT: Alright, just saw Lake Laogi, and couldn't be much happier! But is Jet gonna die? Ah, oh well... At least that leaves Aang with no competition with Katara. But I love what they're finally doing with Zuko! Feels like Zuko's hair gets slightly longer with every passing episode...

When exactly is the new episode supposed to air? I never really watch Nick, except for Avatar, so I don't have a clue.

Possibly... though, the Earth King doesn't strike me as the type to actually fight. Too young and naive-looking. Long Feng, on the other hand, is a distinct possibility, depending on the timing of the known events from the trailer. He needs it, badly. When exactly is the new episode supposed to air? Young and naive-looking is always either a. a sure sign of control and mastery over power or b. really young and naive looking. Since this is television, I'm gonna go with the first one. Still, I suspect that if he is b., then he might just be a figurehead, and a close advisor is really calling all the shots. Thus he might simply be king due to the bloodline (i.e. his father died early).

No no, I attempt to catch up on everything anyway... Wikipedia just doesn't get extremely clear on everything.
