Do keep in mind that Zuko only knows mostly basic firebending as of this point, though Iroh's teaching him advanced moves. If anything, the probable chance of Zuko teaching him would be after his own mastery. Of course, Aang already knows some very basic firebending of his own. Yeah, I'm thinking that we're going to see Zuko start mastering the more advanced techniques soon. We've really been seeing quite a bit of him this season, so to have him considered a master by the start of the next season wouldn't really be unreasonable (especially since Katara was considered a master after about a month of training with Pakku... and Zuko was able to best her once the sun rose). Aang knows just enough firebending to be a danger to himself and others when he tries....

Avatarclubomg! I'll join. My persona's a true blue Waterbender. Although I really like Earthbending. ^_^ King Bumi > you Heh, I was wondering if you were going to show up... *remembers your Waterbender avatar* Uncle Iroh > you If the internet wasn't down, I'd have joined sooner. In my opinion, Zuko or Iroh are very possible candidates for Aang's firebending teacher as they both have reasons to go against Fire Lord Ozai. ... ... Avatar Kyoshi > you

I bearly saw the episode where Aang tried Fire bending >.> Yep... He's more a danger to everyone around him, than who he's up against...

*revives*
...Ba Sing Se is creepy. And then they go and put two 'lighter' episodes (counting the next one here... the subject of which is known) and an empty week in between what we learned about it and what we want to know. >.>
But, Zuko's date makes up for it, mostly. He's so awkward... XD And Iroh needs a hug.
*hopes her reviving attempt works*

Why am I not a part of this club yet? I mean... Speck the Earthbender has a sort of ring to-- No wait. It doesn't.
Anywho. Tales of Ba Sing Se.
I'm kind of peeved about everyone and their grandmother pointing at Jin (Jen?) and saying "omg! MARY-SUE!". And by "everyone and their grandmother", I mean practically everyone at the Avatar_Fans LJ community. I mean, come on. They've said that about almost every non-aggressive, minor character out there. Er, well... Every non-aggressive, minor character that have had some sort of close relationship with one of the main characters.
Haru? Gary-Sue Song? Mary-Sue Yue? Mary-Sue Jin? Mary-Sue

XD *signs you up* Hmm, I didn't see that much of that... >.> Maybe I wasn't looking in the right posts, or something, since I saw a lot of "I like Jin," a couple "Mary Sue," which were followed by a defense of Jin. I like her, though. ^_^ I'd like it if she came back for one more episode, at least. ...I think that part of the problem is that people have so many rules for Mary-Sue-dom that it's almost impossible to make a character that doesn't have some elements of a Sue. Not that it's a bad thing... the problem with Sues are that they're over the top and overshadow the heroes, not that they have any specific trait that's considered Sue-ish. And I bet that no one could say that any of those characters overshadowed the heroes- rather, they helped develop the heroes, then faded out.

I've yet to decide whether or not she's working for/is part or the Dai Lee, or she was just thinking "I bet I can get away with kissing him now." But yeah... I kind of hope she comes back. We haven't learned enough about her except that she's a regular at the tea shop, and that she has a big appetite. Oh, and that she likes Zuko, of course. Heh... "OMG! They're getting into a close relationship with MY FAVORITE CHARACTER WHOM I'VE ALREADY PAIRED OFF WITH MY OTHER FAVORITE CHARATER! How dare they?! They must be a Mary-Sue!" ^ That may or may not be the other side of the NPCs being labelled as Mary-Sues. ^_^

Life hates Zuko enough as it is; the poor guy needs a break for once. XD I read the smirk as the 'I bet I can get away with kissing him now' kind... it fits in better with the atmosphere of the episode (and especially that overly-romantic run to the fountain... j;) ). If they wanted Zuko on the run again because of the date, it'd be better, in my opinion, if someone else saw what he did- if Iroh could see them, so could other people. ...sadly enough, your characterization of the rabid shippers is probably not too far off. XD

Why am I not part of this club? Ah well... I'll change that now, I suppose. I haven't seen that many episodes, to be honest, but I'm hoping to get the full Season One DVD set for Christmas or something like that.
I love the animals. ^^;; Especially the wolf-bats. *bias!*
Oh yah, and I know I'd be an airbender. It fits my nature perfectly.
Can't talk much now... will post more stuff later.

I'll join. I'll be an... Earthbender. Just because. You can put me down as Sam, because Fnord is a temporary name only.
I'm still not totally caught up on the series. I joined in late, but was determined to watch every single episode in the proper order, and right now the last one I've watched was "Avatar Day" (though the Blind Bandit's coming soon). Blockbuster DVD's and Tivo have helped immensely.
EDIT: Just watched Blind Bandit, and it's now one of my new favorite episodes! Second only to Siege of the North (parts 1 & 2 together), and up there with The Storm and The Boy in the Iceburg. Them introducing what looks to be a new main character is really good, and a blind one at that! A blind little girl is something I'd never expect from any other Nickelodean show, making Avatar even more unique...
EDIT2: Just had my own Avatar marathon with Tivo recordings and am now totally caught up with the show. Season 2 is awesome!

...Nickelodeon is evil. Skipping two weeks is annoying, but not nearly as annoying as when you're only expecting one skipped week because every reputable source besides Nick.com said there would be one on one of those weeks. Especially when you can't tell what's true because of the way they did their advertisements.
I want to see brainwashed Jet... ;_; And the episode descriptions for the next two episodes... o.o Just plain awesome. ^_^
...and I'm still wondering whether the Earth King has multiple wives or Nick made a typo... XD
EDIT: Okay, Nick officially makes no sense. They're schedule's probably wrong, but apparantly... - There's no new episode next week, because they're doing all Halloween stuff - November 3rd has Avatar at 7:30 PM (?!) with The Swamp and no 8:00 PM episode (meaning, apparantly, no new episode?) - November 4th (Saturday) has Avatar at 12:00 PM and 12:30 PM with two new episodes. (Why not Friday? o.o) - I've heard that November 8th probably won't have an episode due to a Spongebob marathon.
...the schedule's so messed up that there's almost certainly something wrong with it, though (why would they show two new episodes on Saturday without the normal Friday showing?!)
But, even if it is only on Saturday, I'd be happy for the episodes. ^_^ Because they sound so awesome.

Just as a curiosity, has anyone played the new Avatar video game? I have it rented from Blockbuster and it's actually pretty good for what it is, although Haru as a playable character is a little weird... Meh, I guess they just wanted to set the game before Toph joined the show, but still have an Earthbending character. My main complaint of the game is that it's mostly just a mindless button-masher. But it's still fairly fun, and I actually kinda like the unique storyline they gave it.

Yeah, it's because of Nick being so crazy that I usually miss so many episodes... I think I'm caught up, well at least with the important stuff.
The last thing I saw was the whole Appa episode. That was interesting. Kind of screwed ending <.< But a interesting episode. So I think that was the last new one....
