I spent most of yesterday playing Smash for Wii U XD
I like how it plays. I mean, it's pretty much the same, but feels so much better using a gamecube controller XD
The new stages are pretty good. I like a lot of them more then the 3DS version. But overall, it was good. I'll probably pick up my own copy next month sometime (along with the Wii U >.>).

My poor coworker, he's going stir-crazy. XD He's a huuuuge Smash purist, and his Smash bundle (that comes with the GCN adapter) he preordered on Amazon got delayed to Dec 7. Seriously, what's the point of preordering if you don't get it day-of? And now he's looking all over Kingdom Come to try and find the adapter sold by itself (I think he caved and downloaded the game digitally). I told him he could get one of those Fight pads that're GCN controller-shaped and plug into a Wiimote, but he staunchly refuses. And he's also offering $100 to anyone who has the thing. XDDD

XDDD Wow, December 7th?! My Amazon warehouse is packed with those bundles! Back on Wednesday my carts were full of them XD I guess my warehouse got a big shipment but the other side of the country didn't? That or they're coming from the snow covered areas? My friend pre-ordered the game, lost the receipt, and just ran to a different store Friday morning to get the game in that bundle XD They didn't have any on the floor, but apparently they had them all behind the counter for those who asked (he walked up with just the adapter first). |

The fact that the Lucario Amiibo is going to be Toys R Us exclusive, and the nearest one to me is about 60 miles away, and that's the one I wanted most makes me rage so hard :K You DO realize that it's available on their website and can just have it shipped, right? I have no method of ordering things online. |

Get a Toys r Us gift card, which can be used online. Get a prepaid visa card that will work (sometimes they don't work). If you have the money, there are a few options you can do. Other then those options, you may be out of luck. There aren't any Toys r Us' by me anymore either... Except for a Express one, which is for shipping and ordering or something. It's a tiny place in the mall  |

These things fall out of bins, get run over by carts, and stuff, and most are pretty solid. I really expected to see broken ones at work! I really have! XD Sort of disappointed... |

Although, can I say right now how annoyed I am with Nintendo's inability to produce a fraction of the demand, for ANYTHING? The Gamecube Adapter for Smash sold out on the first day, 2 months ago, and STILL hasn't restocked anywhere. Amiibo shortages left, right, and center. Majora's Mask deluxe bundle sells out in less than an hour everywhere. The Majora's Mask and Monster Hunter LE 3DS preorders sell out on Gamestop in less than a half-hour.
Get it together, Nintendo. Geez.

X3 For anyone who's interested in hunting down Amiibo (or Majoras Mask bundles, or Gamecube Adapters), I totally recommend signing up for www.nowinstock.net/It's a free site that lets you get email, text, and/or browser alerts when an item goes on sale or goes up for preorder. Though, they haven't put up the Super Mario Bros Amiibos yet. (The new poses of Mario/Luigi/Peach/Yoshi/Bowser, plus new Toad <3) Also, my workplace had a Smash Bros tourney today, because we are all a bunch of nerds. 100 people work here, and 28 people entered. XD I beat a grand total of 3 people with Pikachu before losing in a super-close match. I think I held my own well enough.  Nobody totally trounced me, and that's most important. Wish there were items, though, b/c when we were playing for-fun matches afterwards, I won every game that had items enabled. XD Was also an Amiibo tournament! 8D Only 8 entries that time, but my TurniPeach wiped the floor with all of 'em! I think I was the only one who knew you could max an Amiibo's Equipment stats at 120 (spread across all 3 stats). She also had healing when she did physical damage, easier escape from grabs (probably should replace that; she never escaped any grabs), and reduced damage when airborne. Woo! Got a Question Block Amiibo carrying case, which doesn't really do a good job storing Amiibos. XD IThe case is one big open pocket. Your Amiibos are gonna bump up against each other and get scratched!) |
