At this point, getting the meeting started would be good. While stuff is happening, we're mostly just standing around Shino Kit waiting for war to be declared. (and yea, I actually did write Shino instead of Kit accidentally. We need more accusations to start flying, and we need some action. Over 30 pages in and still no big battles. Or maybe I'm just getting impatient cause I've been stuck in Spacefleet HQ all this time Maybe I should make an invisible guild member... edit: and thanks Rider I take it that means I took the right approach.

I guess RPing as guests makes things more interesting. ^^ Anyway, Keng explained a good point to me in the Spacefleet Guild. I'm going to try and steer the RP in a direction where the Spacefleet characters can start getting involved in the action. The Commander's strict policies of secrecy are to blame for this, but he isn't exactly in a position to enforce rules right now, is he? ^_~

D: I was listening to Still Alive when I wrote that post. [glow=red,2,300]Is the poison just inside the castle, or is it getting out?[/glow] It should be contained pretty well within the castle, but if anyone wants to do something else with it, go right ahead. ^^; After all, the grounds up to the South Gate are technically still part of the guild. And Strife, the dexterity you show in half-italicizing Cyclops' speech every time really impresses me. =D Seriously.

Yea Strife, I love the way Cyclops speaks. Very ingenuitive of you! And as a reminder, me a Urchin have permission to control eachother's characters. Next time we do a convo like that it will probably be all in one post

Keng, has the message been sent yet? That is, can Strife and/or I post that we received it?
Not that I'm going to right now. Got classes. *Shifty eyes*

Kit was sleepy. Kit was tired. It was almost midnight now, just five more minutes. Five more minutes, and then he could have some rest. He wondered what he was doing here anyway? Humans were such fickle creatures. All they did was talk all day and get nothing done. Ikkin was most obviously confused. This was the second time in one day when she had come up to him, demanded answers, and then waltzed off before allowing Kit to speak. Then again, it wasn't just Ikkin. Kat seemed to be doing the same thing. One moment, she appeared in front of him with a greeting. Next moment she was off to talk with her captain. Which was odd, since Kit did wonder how did Hunty get to Kat before he could reply. After all, at last check, Kat appeared in front of him, and Hunty was still a fair way off. Under an apple tree, as the quake reminded her.
And then there were the mages. He could have sworn Ikkin had sent for Sev at least five hours ago. What was taking them so long? If that was the speed at which they reacted to an emergency, he wondered how they even got anything done in the first place.
In fact, everyone seemed to be acting downright silly.
Ever since he came to the south gate, he had been approached by at least a dozen people, all bearing words. What was this? A press conference? All Kit wanted to do, was to give the poor little gem a purpose and have something different for breakfast. Some of them were obviously not on his side, so why are they sticking around? The longer they stay, the more of his side there would be. They should have long scurried off to a more defensible position. Weren't there supposed to be age old hostilities? Why were they all just standing around then? They could at least segregate themselves into two neat lines. What were they waiting for? Kit to give a speech? He wasn't running for president. Why on earth would he even care to give a speech? All he would do at midnight was slaughter those not on his side.
The only two people that he found acting in a normal manner was Shade and that girl with the pig. At least they knew what they were doing, and didn't seem to be trying to do several things at once. Shade was standing by him, that was clear enough. And the girl wanted to burn things. Which was also clear enough. Why was everyone trying to be so complicated then? Why did they find it so hard to act in a normal manner, and obey the rules of time for once?
Kit sighed, wondering why demons would want to come here anyway. He had heard that the lower planes had an excellent tourist resort, with Succubi Spas, Imp Eateries, Hellhound Races. Maybe he should stop trying to bring them here, and go down there himself. At least there they behaved in a coherent manner.
Tapping into his Clairvoyance, he relayed what he saw to Marbas.
"Are you sure you want to come here?"
The demon lord took a while to appreciate the situation before replying, "depends, are they all like this?"
"Seems so."
A long period of silence followed before a reply came through, "negative on that. Bring the angels over, and we'll have a talk about negotiating a treaty with the upper planes."
"Free passes to the Imp Eatery?"
"As usual."
With that, Kit shrugged and took the gem out before calling out to Ikkin. "Here, catch!" tossing the gem towards her. Not waiting to see if she caught it, he turned to the pool of black smoke around Tavara, pausing to tap Shade on the shoulder, interrupting her fight. "I'm tired of this nonsense. Care to join me on a tour of the lower planes? If so, step through the black pool after me."
And with that, Kit and the rest of the demons and angels walked into the pool of black smoke, all deciding on what to order at the Imp Eatery when they got there. Much easier than dealing with humans. And that's the surface of the amount of GW related rants I have. =D Edit: ..and while I'm at it. Just my opinion on multiple-characters as an experienced roleplayer. Roleplaying multiple characters effectively is very hard. Especially if you intend to do so for the entire length of the roleplay. A character's strength lies in his or her personality and development. Multiple characters tax the roleplayer terribly, and can lead to poor roleplay posts and weak characters. Both of which is fatal to a roleplay. Each character needs to be distinct from another. Trying to roleplay multiple characters tends to blur the distinctions from one character to another because quite often, a new roleplayer's characters tend to be very similar in terms of personality and background. When entering a roleplay, it is much better to concentrate on one character and have that character develop and blossom in the roleplay, rather than have two characters that end up being terribly static and uninteresting. More characters also make for a more complicated roleplay. It is much easier to have a fun plot that involves a few characters, than to have one that encompasses many, many characters. A roleplay is dependant on character-character interaction, and having too many characters makes it nearly impossible to have full interaction among all the characters. And then there's the problem of dialogue. Dialogue is the scourge of roleplays. It is slow, and often bogs down a roleplay. Yes, it is essential for interaction, but too much is not good. It's like cholesterol. The heart needs it to function, but too much and you're going to clog everything up. And the more characters there are, the more dialogue there will be. So yes, in summary, try not to have multiple characters per person unless you're very confident in your roleplaying skills. At best for most people, try to limit things to one character with a companion. Edit:: Disclaimer: This is an opinion, not a ruling. xD ..if you still want to go ahead and have multiple characters, sure. There's nothing to stop you from doing so.

Kengplant and Tamia - Thanks! ^_^ I figured it was a clever way to express how robotic and buzzy Cyclops' voice is inside the suit. It takes me a while to make it like that, but i'm not in any kind of rush to post. Kit - .......... erm... we fail... <_<

We're either going in circles or just not going anywhere at all, and I know a lot of people at the heart of the roleplay are upset by it. I do think it can be salvaged though... I really do believe it. It's just going to take a lot of conscious effort on the part of every single roleplayer here; it's going to take more people actually reading and understanding the posts before theirs (and actually asking someone if they don't -- seriously, no one's going to attack you if you need help); and it's probably going to take a few more people willing to listen to good advice. >.>

If it is going to be salvaged, then we need to get the basics down first. As it is, everyone is trying to run before they can walk, and that is just messing things up. Which makes it very frustrating for me, because I'm trying to keep things in order. I'll stop here before I launch into a public rant. But yeah.

I'm with you all the way Kit. And I can deffinately see how the concentration has fallen to heavily on you.
As for the multiple character thing, I get that. But right now, if a few people who are really comfortable with an extra character think they could do something with one they will get some pressure off of Kit, I say go for it.
On that note I've been trying to decide if I should bring back shMMM, but I'm not sure. I don't feel like the character actually belongs to me so much anymore, and was wondering if maybe it'd be better if she stayed as a GW1 exclusive. If I were to bring her back it might be as a member of the invisible guild or something. But I want to hear opinions on it first.

It's all the extras that have made it so complicated. I've said it once, I'll say it again. Roleplaying multiple characters is hard. And from what I've seen, nobody is doing it right. Don't use an extra character just to accomplish something. It defeats the purpose of a roleplay. Bringing in more characters is just the easy way out, a patch-over solution. I'm really sorry if I sound ranty. But it's true. Edit: I'm not trying to bring you down, Keng. *hugs* ..and I do appreciate the support. I really do.

I had worries about GW2 since the moment it started. In fact, I was the one who started it because people in the planning thread were getting fed up with waiting, so I figured I would take the initiative.
Mistakes have definitely been made, but then again, we aren't professional or highly experienced roleplayers, for the most part, and we're doing this because we can and it's fun. ^_~ I do, however, agree with Kit's concerns about the plot going nowhere right now, and I think the root of the problem lies in the fact that people are advancing the plot at completely different speeds. I notice that some people want to spend extra time in an important conversation, while others are being more aggressive and pushing the plot forward faster. The result is that there are a lot of people who can't (or won't) keep up with the posts because things are getting too complicated, along with the fact that only a handful of characters are having any major impact on the events of the plot while everyone else is just background noise.
I'm doing the best job I can right now. I can do better, but I don't want to work too hard at this because it's just a roleplay, and I want to have fun with it rather than feeling like it's a chore. If we want to make GW2 better, it's going to take a collective effort from everyone involved, not just me or Kit or the major players. So step up, ask questions, and take initiative. ^_^
On that note, we should probably organize/update the Summary thread a little more. ^^;
