[glow=red,2,300]What do our characters ultimately WANT? (For so-and-so to die is not a legitamate want, at least not when it comes to plotting plot. There's only so far that revenge can take us, unless you're a massive gem army. Wanting to survive also doesn't drive a lot of plot.)
So, the Gem Army - wants so-and-so, namely Leraye, to die. They also want each other to die.
The Gem Ninja - Also want this blarf off thier ship. Srsly.
Leraye - Wants everyone to gather in one place (and ultimately we may all end up at the north pole) so he can use the souls of the current NTWFers and the gem-army to make a new gem.
Rider (the character) - Doesn't want to die. Wants to serve Hunty. (I have a nauseatingly passive character. She doesn't want much of anything.) By proxy, wants Leraye to be safe.
Shiva - Wants his family to be safe. Also, wants a cat.
Rider (me, the RPer) - wants a proper naval battle. (C'mon, guys, we're open without a blarf.) Wants all the NTWFers to reach the north pole and duke it out on a couple of icebergs. (Wants undead penguins. Wants Santa. Wants a globe and a sword, so she can be like a real Pirate King.)
I guess part of the problem is that Hunty already established that the pirates are so far ahead of the gem army. I can't think of a convenient non-godmodish way for the NTWFers, who might be even farther behind than the gem army, to catch up.
To the rest of the Brethren Court, I may not have my MSN until Thursday. [/glow]

XDDD; Since we're discussing what our characters' goals are, PFA--although she's been gaining all sorts of weird goals as this RP progresses--mainly wants her Father back, and Jernath pretty much just wants to get paid. OOC!PFA, however, wants fights of epic proportions. :3 Like the iceberg thing Rider mentioned? That sounds really cool.
And, um, I'm not getting a lot of plot ideas at the moment, but if anyone wants to bounce ideas off me, I'm free. >_> And maybe I can try to get on MSN more. If I remember. If.

...ZariKrahia wants to get home, have a long, hot shower, eat, and go to sleep on a soft furnishing of some sort. Otherwise she may have to have a fit of the hysterical kind. And possibly kick something that'll make a noise. Pent up adolescent feelings, anyone? XDDD
Ailurazari just wants everyone to leave her alone so she can get over the destruction of Castle Kestrel, which probably won't happen, so possiblyin the very near future she'll start running around with a sparkly green axe to relieve her feelings.
Ienalle is a very passive character- she just wants Zari to calm down, everyone to be happy, and for free food to start raining from the sky.
Zaha just wants everything to go back to normal so Ailurazari won't start running around with anything sharp or sparkly, so Naviere help anyone who stirs up trouble around the Dunburrow area.
According to Soap, Ferdamei is very confused at the moment. And she had a temper. I am predicting some possibilities for mayhem.
My MSN is always alive and funtioning, though, as is my PM inbox.

Leste wants Jernath(but only GW2!Leste, we agreed on no 'shipping outside GW2)

To make a quote that I think fits the RP speed: 'A whole lot of not-much over a very long period of time.' *sage nod* Omni: Not a lot, she's mostly just confused, wondering what's going on and sort of at the sidelines (that seems to happen to her a lot). Yes, Omni reading the note was an attempt at getting her back into the RP. I could possibly bring in some stuff about her backstory and powers… Ethan: He's mostly following orders. There's also the thing with the notes he sent. Problem with the former is that everyone who is/was involved either has become inactive or died in RP, or both. Maybe I could bring it up somehow. Proposed possible character: *wrote it up, but removed it* Might be something to talk about over PM/MSN. This is unrelated to plot, or RP speed, but I thought I'd mention it anyway: Leraye has this red gem. This gem has much power. The more the gem is used, the more it's power fades. To make the stone, Leraye used a lot of people, a lot of philosophers to be specific. Who else sees the pun?

Hunty (the Cap'n) wants to keep her crew safe, which includes Leraye who's considered to be part of the crew. And she wants the gem, since that's the key to their safety, what with a gem-army on their heels.
Rane... he mainly wants peace, but due to his rank, he has a lot of pressure from everyone else to go catch Leraye and squish the traitor-pirates, a.k.a. us in the progress. Poor bugger. He feels betrayed, of course, but he's the kinda guy who'd just swallow it and live on after he gets over the first burst of anger. However, due to that pressure, he's gonna be on our backs like a bloodhound, and he's a good bloodhound: his strength lies mainly in tactics.
The Horsemen of the Apocalypse... don't count, because they have no impact on the plot xD But they wanna squish TMC, obviously enough.
OOCHunty wants a big shiny naval battle, yes. And, deriving from this, once we get the naval battle, we'd all be there together and, as Rider pointed out, would give Leraye the chance to forge us in a new gem. Which'd make him the ultimate enemy and final boss when push comes to shove. Admittedly, he doesn't have much power so he'd be very easy to defeat, but hey, what are plot twists for?
Concerning this whole catching up thing: the Weewoo is far ahead, yep, but it's a brigantine. Those are pretty slow ships. The army has plenty of NPC schooners and clippers and mage vessels you can make use of, those would catch up fast. Commandeer, write in an abandoned ship, pull a McGyver, anything of the sort. 'Sides, most of the people in the game are flying/floating around in some way or another anyway.
And I demand undead penguins xD And Santa, yesyes.
*slams sword into globe* Youknow, this is my third globe during this GW >> So. Captain Hunty proposes that the action be shifted to the north pole, with penguins and anything you possibly want to include to spice things up (I included the Horsemen just to spice things up). By that time Fraze will probably learn a thing or two about our possession of the gem, thus informing the Spacefleet of it. The ninjas are after us for revenge, the mercs are after us for revenge, and the army is after us for revenge.
...doesn't bode well. But we have a shiny gem, so whatever =3
In the end, we're bound to learn the truth about Leraye, and that opens up waaay too many possibilities. Would be a shame to just kill him, though. He deserves to get a nice big power surge and become a considerable opponent (Calypso moment muchly? >>) But that can go multiple ways. *ponder* When there's really need for a deus ex machina for him, I happen to know a certain Harley-riding jackal who has plenty of reasons to give him a hand. In fact, might just do that.
Long story short, just about everyone has a reason to come after the pirates. So come after us. We'll get the grounds for a nice naval battle that way, with everyone versus everyone due to the number of reasons everyone has for fighting, and then we get the inevitable climax with Leraye after that. (Just do me a favor and don't fight on yards like Davy Jones and Jack Sparrow xD I can give you atleast five reasons why that scene was completely impossible.)

In any case, that may well have been Chikkin's intent. And the gem is purple, like the previous one. Right? EDIT: And Hunty, you pay for the next globe you wreck. Leave some for me and Chikkin! Bacon's goal is to figure out what's going on and if it affects Spacefleet in any way. He suspects it does, or else he wouldn't be where he is. And where he is is trying to figure out if what's going on affects Spacefleet in any way...

Cyborg (the character): Wants to see Keng again Keng, wants to kill Hunty (no offense), wants to kill the meepits. Midknight: wants a girlfriend wants to fight, wants to protect his friends and family. Esme: Wants Jernath, wants.... Jernath, and um.... wants... Jernath. The squirrels: want some acorns. Shado: wants to be pet and scratched behind the ears. Gryff: Wants Esme to stop fangirling Jernath, wants to find someone intellectual in the mercenaries. Him and Midknight could be like bffl's! Cyborg(me): Wants Jernath to fall for Esme, wants an epic battle of epicness, wants Keng to post, wants Midknight to stop the emoness.

Cyborg(me): Wants Jernath to fall for Esme >__>; ...PFA, you forgot the bit where you say 'Jernath wishes all the fangirls would stop making him try to decide which one to love.' *decides not to continue with that comment*Oh right, and GW2!PFA also wants to save the NTWF. Which is probably a bit more important than bringing back Vyt. No offense to him, of course, but it's just that it would be kind of hard to bring someone back to a world that doesn't exist.

[shadow=purple,left,300]Kat - just wants to keep everyone close to her from dying and/or killing each other. That's pretty much it.
Asthielle - wants me out of the way for reasons to be revealed later on. I assure you, she's not looking for world domination, but that would be a nice bonus.[/shadow]

Post by Vyt: Down, but Not Out on May 18, 2008 8:35:24 GMT -5
Cat Assassin's basically a guardian of PFA, always being right beside her to look out for any danger lying just ahead. However, as this roleplay goes on, he becomes suspicious of the actions of the pirate captain (Hunty) and goes to look over her as well.
Vyt wants everyone to know why he chose to remain as a soul since GW1, but also wants them to search the answer for themselves. In reality, he wants them to learn something that would keep them united against the impending doom right ahead so he can come back safe and sound.
Bluisa is following Cat Assassin and PFA around with one thing in mind: to revive Vyt back.

Well then. *sits down on the globe* Time to look at war psychology.
Everyone has their own agenda (naturally, or they wouldn't be human... or what have you.) But wars are always wars of the leaders. There's always the need for someone to wave a pointy metal thing around and rally the troops. At this point: - Pirates: have Hunty who ain't intending to go anywhere. - Ninjas: have Cat Assassin as the de facto leader. - Mercs: Cyborg, de facto again. - Mages: underrepresented, technically had Ikkin and Kat, both of which are under the Pirates' paw (yay x3) Lack of central organizing. - Knights: practically out of the game, Wolf isn't present, lack of any kinda organizing (shoulda just used the chance and levelled the entire castl- *whack'd*) - Spacefleet: with the Commander busy at school, the remaining fleeters have shown signs of equalized democratic organizing. Sounds like the Baltic states in 1989 (and we all know how that ended >>) - The gem army: mainly NPC, the only actual leaders have been Rane, Ryou, and Queen Whatsherface. Been mainly acting as plot devices under the Pirates' paw. - The Invisibles: ...dead >> - The Horsemen and other assorted people: doing their own thing.
Dramatic conclusion: order is the key. If you belong to a guild that has a dead/nonexistent leader, then I sincerely and seriously suggest: use the chance. Fill in the blank. Take power. (That's how I became captain in the first place, after all >>) We're trying to have a war here, but democratic wars don't exist. And the more you push the gem-army around, the better. Ofcourse, we're slowly falling into the trap of relatively few players using lots and lots of charas, but personally I've been having fun with that (heck, I have two more faces in planning on the Horsemen level :3)
Now, anyone objecting to a quantum leap? It'd be high time to skip a couple hours and reach the Rocky Gates if you ask me. That'd mean the afternoon/evening of the second day or so. Can't see much else going on until then, except the mercs commandeering a ship, which can take place whenever.
