Omni, Rikku wasn't crushed by the bookcase - she avoided it, but cracked her head against the wall.
... Not that it makes any difference, just thought I'd mention. x3

In case you're not sure what I mean by a crouch, Zari's bent her knees and is balancing on her balls of her feet, with her arm resting across her knees. I tend to do that often while bored in an open space.

[glow=red,2,300]I agree that it's time for Cat Assassin to get out as well. ^_^[/glow] Agreement noted. Third-party person, coming up! Make sure to keep the third-party people on ghost level xD Real Subila is still on the ship's blacklist, and Vyt is simply unknown. But it has no way to see them as ghosts unless they attempt some mist-merging kinda thing again.

Both Subila and Vyt are ghosts (the former was killed back in the Mage Manor, remember?), and though they absolutely will open the cell for Cat Assassin to escape, there's nothing much they can do right now by themselves.

>_< Cyborg, Leste has unwrapped herself ffrom around Jernath and is now watching the souls that were in the gem so how could she be preparing to attack?

So now that the gem's destroyed, do we all get trapped-soul versions of our characters to control? Or would that be too much like the shadow clones? <_< *is already trying to think up counterparts for her characters*

So now that the gem's destroyed, do we all get trapped-soul versions of our characters to control? Or would that be too much like the shadow clones? <_< *is already trying to think up counterparts for her characters* Hopefully not x'D Because none of our characters ever were trapped in the gem. The people in there are all from a good thousand years back (and if anyone wants to stick in humorous little scenes of them finding a McD's in-battle and infiltrating it all suspicious-like, go right ahead, except I'm not sure if Dunburrow has McD's >>) They'll mostly be used as plot devices and battle-fodder. Controlling NPCs is fun and all, but gets much too tedious in the end (I'ma bid farewell to my wimpy soul-buddy as soon as I get the things sorted out with him, 'cos he has no reason to stick around.) On that note: Strife, we figured that all the power the gem has granted before breaking will remain tied with whatever it was granted to, much like wrapping thread around something and cutting it off. Means that you get to keep the exact level of power you had when the gem broke (so there won't be more to come, but it shouldn't disappear anywhere either), and the shard in the Leech probably keeps its power as well. Which, theorethically speaking, makes it the new gem, since the original got phoenix'd. On the same premise, we get to keep the ship, Speck's blood-o-mancy won't go anywhere, and the question of possessions is personal preference (I sorta assumed that the one in the Commander is one of the more powerful mages of the old era, and therefore sees more potential in sticking around the guy who has an army George Lucas would be proud of x3 But that's up to you.) And if anyone still remembers, there's still one more gem in this game :]

I reread your post after you said that she wasn't bookcase'd and couldn't figure out what else could have killed her and dismissed it as she got bookcase'd but her spirit managed to jump out and hit the wall. I didn't consider the wall as a possibility because I was thinking that her jump would have had about as much strength as that of an average human, and so hitting the wall wouldn't have givin her much more than a bump on the head. (Yeah, I tend to do stuff that sometimes, especially if i hadn't heard about the character being super strong or anything like that.) Drakhé, I'm giving you an oppertunity to grab the paper if you want. Is there any particular reason I can't post as a guest, other than the forum has been updated?

I've been giving this some thought over the past few days, and I thought I should mention it.
These people in the gem have been trapped there for thousands of years, right? Just fighting, fighting all the time. That's a lot of time to practice. Even the lowliest footsoldier fighting with a plastic knife would become a combat master after a few thousand years. Are we going to say that the combat skills of all the people in the gem were fixed in place once they were trapped, or what?

Since time is just another dimension and they were outside time, nothing that needs time happened to them. As in, they didn't get older, they didn't get stronger, they didn't learn anything (else they would've started asking questions such as 'why are we fighting again?' and 'can we get decent food for a change?') and the time in the gem was probably more like a dream for them (you know how you can never tell how long a dream lasted). Or we could turn them into an army of invincible senseis and chop them all off based on the NPC Law x3 Either way.

Okay, gotcha. I have to admit, the destruction of the gem just threw off most of the things I was planning with Strife and Leoness, but I suppose that's what I get for not staying in touch. ^^; *goes to re-plot*
