I've been thinking about this for some time, and I would like to explore the possibility of adding a new guild to the ranks. I have an idea for a commando guild.
The mages have their spells and staffs, and the knights, pirates, and ninjas have their swords and other bladed weapons of doom. But I think we could use a guild that is more... como se dice... mechanically inclined. (; The Interstellar Commando Unit (ICU) would focus on intense training for large-scale battles, and place heavy emphasis on explosive weapons, machinery, and vehicles. Basically, we like blowing things up.
Magic and technology are often compared as opposities, so I believe that commandos would have a rivalry towards mages, much like the rivalry between pirates and ninjas.
Of course, i'll need to find at least 10 people who are interested in this, which is why i'm posting this topic. ^_~ I've discussed this with Leoness, and she's willing to be the mod sponsor.

Yes yes! We could use a guild with tech stuff, to oppose all the 'medieval' guilds x3

Cool! I like technology. My persona is still up in the air, but will probably be an engineer/builder type.
Just one question though: how much magic are the guild members allowed to have? Because both of you mention some form of magic in your persona threads.

Ah, good point. I think in that case, as long as you use your magic for the benefit of the guild, you'll be fine. I only know basic earth magic, and it would be handy in certain situations as a commando.
The only time there would be a problem, is if you started showing up in robes and using staffs and spellbooks instead of weapons and gadgets. x3
Anyway, cool! 8 more to go. =3

(Heehee...sharks...sharks are funny...)
I would join. I'm not sure mad science counts as "machines", but it certainly fits with the blowing-stuff-up motif ^^
