They look very costume-y to me. Like it's Halloween or something. Not regal at all. Then again, most of the revamped royal colours are pretty silly.  |

I think the new royal pets just have as many clothes on them as possible, and you're just supposed to pick the ones you want. xD Maybe not the greatest idea, but it's not terrible either. The girl one looks very Native American to me because of the clothing colors, headpiece (jewelry not hat), and earrings. But the rest of her, and the male, look sort of Asian.  Not my favorites, but not too bad I guess.... EDIT: But I love those darker Wocky clothes, with the vest, goatee, and stuff. ^_^ I don't have a Wocky though. None of my pets have cool wearables.  |

TNT doesn't really control the price. WE inflate the price of things, not TNT.

That's why I like them. I like that the royal pets are sorta themed in their royalty. ^^

TNT doesn't really control the price. WE inflate the price of things, not TNT. I like the Royal Boy, but not the Royal Girl. ..Huh? The Royal Paint Brush is in the Hidden Tower. =P TNT controls the prices there.  |

Oh I'm sorry. I never go there.
But even for the things there, we tend to mess around with the price and inflate or deflate some. Some toy there that everyone buys is obnoxiously cheap if I recall. I should get that avatar at some point... *rambles on for all of eternity*

I think the reason the last couple of royal pets have been greeted with "meh" is because they're not anthro -- not because the idea/concept/clothing is all that bad. I think the main problem is not necessarily that, but rather how much more regal and sophisticated the royal pets were before the revamp. Now, most of them look cartoonish and silly. TNT took something very popular and beautiful and turned it into... well, a costume. A customizable costume, but a costume nonetheless. I'll be honest here-- I would have much preferred (and this is just my opinion) for royal pets to have remained the same during the revamp. The clothes and poses before were breathtaking on most of them. Now... they just look like pets playing dress up with a costume chest. |
