I was surprised there wasn't a thread for this, because these are beautiful petpets  But then I realized that while they were in the News a while back ago, they hadn't been released until just recently. When I think Quetzalcoatl, I think of the lightning bird in FF8.
But maybe I'm just a nerd like that.

Quetzalcoatl was a Mesoamerican God who was so important to the ancient Mesoamericans that Cortez was mistaken for him upon his arrival. Quetzalcoatl is represented by a feathered serpent, hence the petpet name. There's also a bird by the same name (Quetzalcoatl) because its tail feathers are so long and beautiful that it was used to adorn the head mask of Quetzalcoatl, or someone dressed as Quetzalcoatl. When I think Quetzalcoatl, I think of the lightning bird in FF8. So do I. >> Even though I know what it really is. Anyway, the new Quetzal colors are awesome! The Maraquan one's gorgeous (so shiny!), and that's one of the prettiest Mutants I've ever seen. ^^ The Darigan one is also really spiffy, with the whole evil black-and-red snake look. I also like how we can have a nice leafy green snake now. ^^ Geraptiku Petpets pwn. |

Cooool! It's like a mix between a tropical bird of some sort and a snake. I loooooove it! All the colors! I reeeeeally want one... but I like them all so much I could never decide which one to buy! xD
