Final verdict on preview threads

So if it takes so long for people to get their acceptance letters, then why even have a preview?

Stal, he means that people have already gotten acceptances for Issue 237 (when the one coming up is 236). So what he said was correct- if the first acceptance letter led to the previews thread, there would be a Previews thread for 237 before 236 ever went up.

I vote for Thursday. Previews aren't really all that important but it's still fun to have 'em.

With maybe the exception of special issues, I vote Thursday. Give it one day to hype you up for the new issue tomorow... becuase it's not like you really need much more than that. I actually only read the previews thread if it's for an upcoming special issue like Illusen Day or Christmas.

Heh, thanks for voting, everyone. ^^; Well, seeing that more people are opting to move preview threads to Wednesdays and Thursdays...do you think we should really put this into action now, or notify the mods about our decision first?

I don't think one of the mods would lock it, especially since it's almost Thursday in some time zones anyway. So, if you want to, go right ahead.

At the very most, the only official thing to be done is to change the word 'Tuesday' to 'Wednesday' or 'Thursday' in the Rules of the Board thread. And, we're probably not going to be enforcing the rule unless it there's a problem, but you're all mature enough not to get into an argument if it's a bit early, right? ^_^ It's not that big of a deal if the thread's put up early, after all...

But, it might be a good idea to agree on whether you want it to be on Wednesday or Thursday now. Assume it's Wednesday for now, unless a majority of people want Thursday.

EDIT: Kirby already put up a Previews thread, so there's no need for another.

Okay, yeah... But, I kind of meant a majority as in 50%+ of all votes, so that people who want it earlier still count. j;) Maybe that could be counted up? Some people haven't stated preferences between the two and such, so it might be better to make sure everyone has a chance, too.

But, this week doesn't count, so if you want to go over to the Previews thread, no one's going to stop you. ^_^ And if you want to keep doing reviews, that's good too. j;)
