It's a sort of hard biscuit - fulling, and a staple of travel diet, but pretty tasteless, and most interesting as a 'chewing exercise'. ^_^ It was talked about in The Hobbit.

I started the Hobbit once, don't think I got past page one or two. ^^; (I restarted it so many times I have the first sentence memorized. "In a hole in the ground, there lived a Hobbit.") _{Now if they'll only make a movie I'd probably watch it.}

Johnny Depp = Billbo (sp). (But WHY is the Ring gone?) *brick'd* and *double brick'd* and *ten-ton weight'd* for good measure.

PART *uhh* THIRTEEN!

“The black gate of Mordor!” crooned Gollum, as all four of them stared at the gigantic black barrier looming ahead of them from the steep hill of loose rock they were looking out from.

A massive, low rumble echoed, Goosh squinted.

“The gate!” he breathed “The gate, it’s opening!”

And indeed it was, the enormous gate was slowly creaking open.

But then it stopped opening suddenly, only enough for a troop of strange looking men to pass though.

“Who are those men?” Asked Sam “They are not orcs”

Goosh was about to answer back when he felt a boney hand push lightly on his back sending him flying head first down the hill of loose gravel towards the approaching troop of mysterious men.

This was bad. Goosh thought quickly of things to hide himself with and remembered his cloak that the lady Galadriel had given him and all of his companions. He threw it over himself, it camouflaged him perfectly as a harmless boulder.

Under the hem of the cloak he could see one of the men walking cautiously towards him, suspecting Goosh’s presence, but then walked back to his troop.

That was way to close Thought Goosh as Frodo Sam and Gollum slid down the hill to him.

With a loud creak the gate started closing, Goosh lunged forward but was pulled back by Gollum.

“THERE IS ANOTHER WAY!” he hissed holding Goosh back.

*Team Pink Flag*

“Huh?” Grunted Goosh staring at the suddenly appearing flag.

“I don’t get it.” said Sam.

They ignored the flag and went back to their deep, concerning discussion.

“THERE IS ANOTHER WAY!” gargled Gollum again.

Goosh looked down at the frail, pitiful, seemingly harmless creature.

“Show us Gollum, lead us there.” Goosh muttered, looking away.

Gollum smiled.

I woke up suddenly.

A horrid salty gross taste was plastered to the sides of my mouth like porridge.

Water.

I get to have my glass-of-water-before-bedtime.

I sat up and realized I had been sleeping on the soft, mossy forest floor.

Merry and Pippin were still sleeping, I did not poke their heads, trust me, it took a lot of restraint.

I got up and looked around, it was like magic, there was a cute little stream running down the rocks near the base of a huge tree: Water.

I didn’t care if it was sanitized, it was water, and I was gonna drink it.

I approached the stream, I was planning to dive right in and drink all the water from it when I stubbed my toe or something hard, a stone bowl, brilliant.

I grabbed it and approached the stream, the water looked to smooth and... watery. I found myself salivating.

I dipped the bowl into the water, gently and took it out, the bowl now filled with clear and pure water, I took a little sip, hoping I would drop down dead.

It was the most heavenly thing I’ve ever drunk, like silk, only smoother.

My stomach made an odd groaning noise.

It wasn’t the kind of noise your stomach makes when your hungry, it was a familiar noise, but I couldn’t quite put my finger on it, I drank some more water.
