Ah, Wicked. Sadly, I've only ever heard the soundtrack (multiple times). And that reminds me... of a story. One of my co-workers and I were cutting gel for the load-in of this upcoming Opera. (Gel, if you don't already know, is what makes the lights all colorful and pretty.) Me (looking at a piece of green gel): I really like this green. It's like... Emerald City green. Max: *sings* One short day, in the Emerald City... XDDD Whoever this Max person is, he is cool. Oh yes, he's very cool. I enjoyed working with him, even if it was only for two days. XD |

There's witty banter, too, if I recall correctly.  So it's all good. Yay witty banter! My friend and I had a long discussion in English class about how the romance in Pride and Prejudice was the best. While comparing it to Jane Eyre. Q- I think I'll tryyyyyyyy

Nature of the work. Load-ins for shows can be anywhere between two days to two weeks, depending on the size of the show. The electrics/lights load-in for this Opera lasted about four days. I was there for two of those days, and Max happened to be working those same two days. $16/hour for 16 hours. Load-ins and load-outs are FTW. ^_^ |
