Yeah. If she had established the universe as one in which gay people are common, maybe I would've read their letters more carefully--it's possible the hints are just really, really subtle... (XD) but as it is, straight people are such the norm in her books that I wasn't reading for that at all.

It was mentioned in the news story Ery posted. I don't really know the context of it, but regardless, people will latch onto it and blow it out of proportion (and as mentioned before, it bugs me to an extent, because it looks like she used this as an opportunity to soap box).
