Well, with that 'Bloids, I'm off to bed. Sleep doesn't just happen you know, you need to help it along. Have fun.

My overactive imagination provides handy suspension of disbelief - when in need of faith and guidance and other thingies people get from religion (besides funny-smelling incense) I an just turn off my analytical and scientific bit and easily believe in it all. As a matter of fact, it's like I'm two different people when I'm doing something mathematical/scientific and when I'm writing, drawing, playing music or just daydreaming.

Well, um, he doesn't need to give stuff up when he makes sticks out of dirt because he's not gaining anything... he's, uh, just moving the dirt from one place to another... *shuffles carpet over the plot hole* don't trip on it.

'night Brains.
What's funny is I was just the opposite, Ebil. Whenever I did anything scientific/mathematical (I was originally going into CompSci, after all) I would always be marvelled and enamoured with the intricacy of creation. It's always interesting to see people's different takes on things due to each of their standpoints.
AH! I like this song. ^_^ *cranks The World*

You could actually make the argument that he is losing/gaining something. He's gaining a lance, but he's losing the one that he had. Exactly the same. Did the laws of Equivalent Exchange even really come into play when they were using their alchemic powers and such?
